❖ Airline Reservation System is an application-based services aim to
provide reusable services based on service-oriented architecture
principles and approaches. The aim to increase the system flexibility
and interoperability in the airline industry context.

❖ The Airline Reservation System project is an implementation of a

general Airline Ticketing application like Priceline. Which helps the

airline ticketing application available online.
*MOTIVATION*

❖ People in rural areas do not travel by air because they

do not know about air
services and they are not ready to travel by air because it is
expensive. So we are
making a simple aviation application system so that people
in rural areas can
know about aviation and they can benefit from it.

❖ While making this system, we are motivated by apps

like Priceline, Sky
scanner etc.

❖ This system is fully computerized

❖ It is user friendly.
*PROBLEM STATEMENT*

❖ Reliable internet access is required to

check reservation.

❖ User should be able to register by

specifying username and password.
❖ Username should be unique.
❖ Has option to cancel ticket only if within
specific time limit.
*SCOPE*

❖This system can be used to check the availability of the flight

tickets for the

specified flight, destination and date of journey.

❖If the tickets are available to the user's needs and specification, then
the software
provide a facility to book the tickets.
❖If the passengers want to cancel the tickets, they can use the
cancellation module of
the Airline Reservation System.
*LIMITATION*

❖Password and valid visa are required for ticket

booking.

❖Passenger cannot transfer his/her reservation from

one flight to another flight.
❖For airline reservation we need to required internet
access.
*OBJECTIVE/GOALS*

❖ Transfer of information from various branches would become easier and

faster .
❖ To speed up the operation.

❖ It contains information on schedules and fares and contains a database of

reservation and of tickets issued.

competing through the use of the most comprehensive and advanced
technological feature. The most common example of innovation is in the area of
information technology and communication. Various industries are using the
technologies and the advancements of software and Internet to maintain and
monitor their business transactions.

❖ The Airline Reservation System project is an implementation of a general

Airline Ticketing application, which helps the customers to search the
availability and prices of various airline tickets, along with the di erent
packages available with the reservations.

❖This project also covers various features like online registration of the users,
modifying the details of the application by the management sta or
administrator of the application, by adding, deleting or modifying the customer
details, flights or packages information. In general, this we application would be
designed to perform like any other airline ticketing application available online.
*SYSTEM ANALYSIS*

*EXISTING SYSTEM*

❖In the existing system if any person wants to travel somewhere by fli

ght, he should take basic steps to getticket like he should go to airport t
o book the flight ticket, he should speak with Airline help centreregardi
ng the availability of flights. It is time consuming process.

❖The e ectiveness of the system depends on the way in which the data
is organized. In the existing system, much of the data is entered manuall
y and it can be very time consuming.

❖Check the Ticket Quantity regularly whether any ticket is not in, if so t
hen Ticket Issue process iscancelled. In the same way Ticket cancellati
on is followed. If fare is increased or decreased then changesinto Fare B
ook. If New Flight is introduced then entry on relevant book, that proces
s applies to Flight-Schedule, Airbus, and Branch system.
*SCOPE OF EXISTING SYSTEM*

❖It may help collecting perfect management in details. In a

very short time, the collection will be obvious, simple and sensible.
It will help a person to know the management of passed year

time to determine the new requirements for thenew system.
As the users is the most important part of any system it is
required to find the usersrequirements to develop a
user- friendly system rather than having to develop a
developer friendly system.
