II. BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE

Pursuant to Regional Memorandum 516, s. 2021, the Department of Education takes


its steps in fostering a common/unified understanding of the implementation of the career
guidance program’s key concepts and messages and ensuring the clear implementation of
protocols under its umbrella. The core subjects Grades 10 and 11 Levels, were its main target of
integration in order to robust opportunities for learners to understand these key concepts in a
deeper context, through this strengthening career path of the learners which will be done
through academic opportunities.
In response to the calling of the Central Office / Regional Office, the Division of Northern
Samar shall conduct a School Orientation in this regard to help learners in the proper choice of
careers, to minimize the mismatching between education and employment, and help in the
efficient use of manpower and above all to help in the total development of the student.
III. OBJECTIVES
Generally, the activity aims to implement School Career Orientation and Pre-
Employment Enhancement in the K-12 Basic Education Curriculum.
Specifically, the activity aims to:
1. help in the total development of the student;
2. help in the proper choice of courses;
3. help the students in vocational development;
4. develop readiness for choices and changes to face need challenges;
5. minimize the mismatching between education and employment and help in the efficient
use of manpower;
6. motivate the youth for self-employment; and
7. help the students in their period of turmoil and confusion.

IV. EXPECTED RESULTS/SUCCESS INDICATORS


At the end of the training on capacitate teachers on the enhanced implementation of the
Career Guidance Program, the trainees are expected to produce the following:
