3:On the Job Training

This chapter narrates the activities that I had gone through during the training. This also
includes the observation, participation, and interaction during the training.

This discusses it space as a development tool and how it was delivered effectively by the
company. On the job training is an important way in which students acquire relevant knowledge
and skills at work.

3.1 Narrative Experience

2079/09/17 was the first day of my OJT. Firstly, was overwhelmed because the workshop was a
little bit unfamiliar and all the faces were strangers as well as language issues took place during
communication because I was fully unfamiliar with Bhojpuri. On the day! managed to introduce
myself to others and helped the mechanic of the workshop. The day made me a little bit
confident and motivated to do upcoming tasks when was being supported and encouraged to
prepare job cards of the vehicles & other tasks. The employees were really friendly and
encouraging to accomplish any job. But the main problem was that there were 4 vehicles service
that day, which made me a little bit nervous. I was hoping to have many Vehicles to be serviced &
repaired there because the many vehicles serviced &repaired, the much more I can learn
Likewise, completed all the tasks given by the seniors and mechanic in the workshop day by day.
In 1-week I was able to do full servicing of the vehicle proper land was able to prepare job cards
of vehichich made me really happy and I learned new tricks to do the tasks efficiently and
quickly without heavy effort. Day by day I was also learning the different responsibility, roles of
each and every employee. Specially I learned to perform vehicle diagnosis, wheel alignment and
other special tasks. During my OJT each and every employees of the company helped me to
complete the tasks given by them. There wasn't any restriction to learn new roles and job tasks.
Sometimes we used to share our life experiences & thoughts which helped me to make mutual
bond with them

3.2 Observation

I was training at Resunga Auto Cares for almost 45 days. Observed the daily activities and
practices that the workers inside the company performed as well as rules and regulation that all
workers and employees must compate with. I observed that all workers and employees inside
the working zone must wear proper safety dresses and other dresses offered by the company.

Another thing that I observed was the rule and regulations that the company initiated. Before
entering the company, regular work, cleaning, inspection, servicing etc. were conducted
Trainees are not included as a visitor. Another was the no smoking, sleeping and by standing rule
Gadgets like mobile phone, camera, portable mp3 players are not allowed during working hours.

3.3 Participation

I participated in the normal or usual operation of the company by maintaining the equipment in
the workshop like helping in the tech related problems, goods delivery, vehicle servicing job card
preparation and many more.

3.4 Interaction

During the training at Resunga Auto Care, I learned to interact with other people. We know that
the people have different characteristics and attitudes; however, making friends with the
trainee's co-workers doesn't make difficult.

Even though I was only a trainee, they don't treat me like others. And as a trainee, I don't feel
uncomfortable as I worked with them. From the interaction made with them also learned to
work with patience. Although thoroughly working on something as time consuming the quality
of the output product is the most important. also learned from my co-worker's experiences and
mistakes and apply them whenever I needed it. They also encouraged me to continue my study
untill became a professional.
Although I worked and interact with them for a short period of time, I learned a lot from them
the skills and techniques that they shared with me that can't be fined on the books.

Chapter 4: Personal Evaluation& Conclusion

This chapter presents the entire training period with the activities done by me as trainee. This
shows the accomplishments and skills being enhanced during the internship period that gave
me the best training ground as a beginner.
4.1 Accomplishment and Contribution

helped to minimize the work process and finished it in short period of time. I was able to helped
the employees in their daily work activities which assisted & help to boost the productivity of
each employee. I also worked as a mechanic for repairing & maintaining the vehicles. I also
performed the role of store keeper while maintaining the spare parts and other goods in the
store. I also worked as a tech expert for maintain the online work flow of the company which
helped me a lot to sharp my skills and learn new technique & skills.
