IT Fest.

Sir/Madam

It is my pleasure to inform you that the DEPARTMENT OF

PROFESSIONAL STUDIES IN COLLABORATION WITH PG
DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE , POST GRADUATE GOVERNMENT
COLLEGE, SECTOR-11, CHANDIGARH is organizing the Annual
Management cum IT Fest “BIZZTECH 2020” on 27th FEBRUARY, 2020.

The Fest offers an amazing platform to the students of Commerce, Management

& IT to exhibit their talent and skills by participating in various competitions
scheduled in the forthcoming Management cum IT Fest.

Kindly encourage the students of your prestigious institution to participate in

the Fest. The detailed instructions and registration form along with the rules and
regulations for each event are attached herewith.

Last date for submission of entries is 22th FEBRUARY, 2020. A soft copy of
registration form can be mailed at [email protected].

 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS AND RULES

 The registration form duly completed is to be mailed at

[email protected] latest by 22thFebruary 2020. A hard copy of
the same should be deposited on 27th February 2020 at the time of
registration.
 Reporting time on 27th February 2020 is 8.30 am sharp.
 The confirmation of the registration will be from 8:30 am to 9.30 am
outside the college auditorium.
 Only the students of COMMERCE, MANAGEMENT &
COMPUTER STREAM are allowed to participate.
 The participants are required to bring the authority letter duly signed from
their respective authorities. They must also carry their ID cards along
with the authority letter.
 A student can participate in only one event.
 Only one team per event is allowed from each college.
 The rules can be changed on the spot at the discretion of Judges and
College authorities. The judges’ verdict will be final and unchallengeable.
 Prize distribution will be held in the college auditorium at the end of the
function on the same day. The participants are required to stay till the end
of the function to collect their prizes and certificates.
 The college will not provide any transportation or accommodation
facility.
 EVENTS AND RULES
1. MARKET A MINUTE

 One participant is allowed to participate from each college.
 The main motive is to market the product or service and convince the
buyer.
 The participants will be given the product/service theme on the spot.
 The participants will be given 1 minute preparation time.
 They will have to market the product for 1 minute.
 The participants can make use of Hindi, English or Punjabi language to
market their product.
 The judges’ verdict will be final and unchallengeable.

2. BIZZ QUIZ (BUSINESS QUIZ)

 One team comprising two participants is allowed to participate from the
respective college.
 There will be two rounds: Preliminary & final round.
 The participants will qualify for the final round on the basis of the results
of preliminary quiz round.
 The quiz will cover the fields of commerce and management.
 Winners will be declared on the basis of the final round.
 The quiz masters’ verdict will be final and unchallengeable.

3. CRAFT YOUR LOGO (LOGO DESIGNING)

 Two individual participants are allowed to participate from each college.
 Participants have to bring their own material (pencils, erasers, paints,
etc.). Sheets will be provided.
 The theme product will be displayed to the participants and they have to
design the logo and tagline according to the product.
 It should not resemble any Logo, Tagline or anything related to the
existing company/product/brand. In such case, judges are free to
disqualify the participants.
 The duration of the event will be 1 hour.
 During the event, use of any electronic device is prohibited.
 The judges’ verdict will be final and unchallengeable.

4. PITCH THE INVESTORS (BUSINESS PROPOSAL)

 One team comprising two participants is allowed to participate from each
college.
 The team is required to make a PowerPoint presentation on a business
proposal. They have to bring an innovative idea.
 The PowerPoint presentation has to be presented and explained by the
team in front of the audience and the judges. The participants are required
to have their backup.
 The PowerPoint presentation will be assessed on the basis of their
feasibility (e.g.; financial, technical, market) and innovative idea.
 The duration of the PowerPoint presentation will be 5-8 minutes.
 The first bell will ring on the completion of 5 minutes and final bell at 8
minutes. Any team taking more than 8 minutes will be disqualified.
 The judges’ verdict will be final and unchallengeable.

5. LIGHTS, CAMERA, ADVERTISE (AD-MAD SHOW)

 One team comprising four to six participants is allowed to participate
from each college.
 Time allowed for enactment will be 3-4 minutes.
 The content of the advertisement must adhere to the ethical standards.
 Product name, tagline or anything related to the product should not
resemble any existing product or service. In such case, judges are free to
disqualify the participants.
 The first bell will ring on the completion of 3 minutes and the final bell at
4 minutes. Any team taking more than 4 minutes will be disqualified.
 The judges’ verdict will be final and unchallengeable.
6. MOTIF GREEN (MEHNDI)

 One team comprising of two participants- one to apply and the other on
whom the art will be performed-will be allowed to participate from each
college.
 Participants must bring their own material (mehndi cone, etc).
 Participants have to apply mehndi on both sides of the hands.
 1hour will be permitted and no extra time will be given.
 The judges’ verdict will be final and unchallengeable.

7. COLOUR N’ FACES (FACE PAINTING)

 One team comprising of two participants- one to apply and the other on
whom the art will be performed-will be allowed to participate from each
college.
 Participants are required to bring their own necessary material.
 1hour will be permitted and no extra time will be given.
 The judges’ verdict will be final and unchallengeable.

8. DIVINE COLOURS (RANGOLI MAKING)

 One team comprising two participants will be allowed to participate from
each college.
 The Rangoli design should be unique and creative.
 The theme will be given on the spot.
 Use of any electronic device will be prohibited.
 Participants have to bring their own material.
 1hour will be permitted and no extra time will be given.
 Use of stencils is not allowed.
 The judges’ verdict will be final and unchallengeable.
9. ORATORY (DEBATE)

 One team comprising two participants - one speaking in favour of the
motion and the other speaking against the motion- will be allowed from
each college.
 The topics for debate will be communicated to the Heads of respective
departments by 20th February 2020.
 The participants can speak in Hindi, Punjabi or English language.
 Use of only one language is permitted.
 The content of the debate must adhere to the ethical standards.
 The participants will be given 2-3 minutes to speak.
 The judges’ verdict will be final and unchallengeable.

10. SHOW YOUR MOVES(DANCE OFF)

 One team comprising six to eight members can participate in the event.
 Time limit of the performance should be 3-5 minutes.
 CD, pen drive or any other backup must be ready with proper labelling.
The host will not be responsible for any technical errors.
 The performance must adhere to the ethical standards.
 Judges’ verdict will be final and unchallengeable

11. BINGE QUIZ (WEB SERIES QUIZ)

 One team comprising two participants is allowed from each college.
 There will be two rounds: Preliminary & final round.
 Preliminary round will be conducted for screening of teams for the final
round.
 Quiz will be based on the following:

4. MARVEL(MOVIES)
 5. HARRY POTTER(MOVIES)
The judges’ verdict will be final and unchallengeable

12. MIND FREAKS (IT QUIZ)

 One team of two participants is allowed from each college.
 There will be two rounds: Preliminary & final round.
 Preliminary round will be written objective type question/answers related
to computer/IT topics
 There will be a special round in case of tie

13. E-COLLAGE

 One team of two participants is allowed from each college.
 Time limit is 45 minutes.
 Theme will be given on the spot.
 Participants will be provided Corel Draw for the collage making.

14. RUN MY CODE (DEBUGGING)

 One team of two participants is allowed from each college.
 There will be one round.
 Time limit is one hour
 C or C++ language codes will be provided.
 Multiple type 50 questions will be provided

15. RESPAWN LAN |(COUNTER STRIKE)

 One team comprising of three participants is allowed from each college.
 Replacement of any participant is not allowed in any case.
 One team has to play as terrorist and other as counter terrorist.
 Use of cheats, trainers is strictly prohibited and will result in
disqualification.
 There will be 3 rounds of 3 minutes, per match.
 After every match, winning team shall move to the next match and the
other shall be eliminated.
 Keyboard and Mouse will be provided but can be brought by the
participants.
 Headphones & Microphone will not be provided.

16. 70mm (MOVIE MAKING)

 One team of two participants is allowed from each college.
 Theme will be given on the spot.
 Time limit is one hour and the movie should not exceed 5-6 minutes.
 Desktops will be provided for the event.
 Participants must bring required devices for the event.
 Derogatory, obscene and vulgar dialogues, songs will result into
immediate disqualification.
 Participants have to make a movie from the pictures and clips captured
during the event.
 The movie may contain still pictures short videos clips and music.

17. WEB DESIGNING

 Theme will be given on the spot.
 Time limit is 1 hour.
 Desktops will be provided for the event.
 Html, CSS, Javascript & Notepad will be provided as platforms.
