Academic and Professional Background

My name is Farhan Fiaz and I am from Pakistan. I am a graduate in BS Media and Communication
(Advertising and PR) from one of the best Universities in the country, International Islamic University
Islamabad; Pakistan, and now I am going to apply for a Master’s degree (18-year education) in “Journalism and
Media Study”. I was an active and indulgent student among others. I was often involved in many
extracurricular activities such as conferences and competitions. If observed by the meritorious efforts, I
remained very competent. I have designed a research plan on the topic “Impact of Media”. This scholarship
opportunity would not only be a personal honor but also a beacon of hope for fellow students with aspirations
of higher education in China.

Introduction of my background
I was born in the city of Rawalpindi; Pakistan, as the Third child of my family. My father is running his
small Retail Store in Pakistan. During my graduation, in 2022; I worked as an Intern at ARY News one of the
most popular and well-known Media houses in Pakistan. Where I learn how to gather daily News and prepare
News reports for the program OFF THE RECORD

My Personality
I am a socially active person with a friendly nature, a good communicator indeed who is blessed with
many friends. I keep a keen view of the reality of life and thus approach people with a positive mind and
attitude and always prove to be helpful with honest efforts and true dedication. Besides that, I always feel very
fortunate to meet and greet people belonging to different backgrounds and cultures that’s why I have many
Chinese and Saudi friends in university. Meetings are always important because they prove to be beneficial in
the future and also make things easy to cope with whether one works or studies in his own country or outside
the country.

Why do I choose China Over Pakistan?

"Why China?" Reading the books, watching the news, and analyzing and observing the people of China,
I am impressed by the way these individuals have proved themselves to be dedicated to their work, and with
true efforts they have set China as a successful example for other third world or developed countries. The
choice of studying media in China, like any other location, depends on individual preferences, goals, and
priorities. China does offer several advantages for media students such as a rapidly growing media industry,
cultural diversity, technological advancements, a global communication hub, government support for media and
creative industries, and reputable universities and institutions offering media and communication programs,
thus such kind of positivity has boosted my confidence further and I am highly satisfied with the decision I
have taken. Moreover, China's diverse cultural norms and values, the famous gentle hospitality of its people,
and Pakistan-China all-weather friendly relations in the past to promote bilateral trade, acceptance, and peace to
both sides in great clarity make me feel China as my second home-land; also my family fully supports my
choice for China being my preference for Master studies. All these reasons put together make China an ideal
place for me to do my Master's degree. Concluding it, with high hopes I believe this application will receive
your favorable consideration and I will be happy to provide any additional information you may need. I look
forward to receiving your reply.
