February 27, 2024 – WARRENVILLE, IL – Lakeside Book Company (“Lakeside”) issued the following
statement today regarding plans to consolidate its manufacturing footprint via the closure of facilities in
North Chelmsford, MA, Menasha, WI, and Cumberland, RI by the end of this year. Operations will be
seamlessly transitioned to other Lakeside Book facilities and Lakeside Book’s Leadership Team will be
working closely with all affected team members, providing severance packages, job placement
assistance, and transition support to either a position within the company or a new opportunity.

“In recent years, Lakeside Book Company has solidified our position as the leading book printing,
binding, and distribution company. While it is extremely difficult to move toward ceasing operations at
locations with such skilled team members, this decision will position us for sustained growth by
maximizing the capabilities of our platform. Strategically investing in technology and enhanced service
offerings allows us to deliver even greater value for our customers,” said Dave McCree, Lakeside’s Chief
Executive Officer.

“Our colleagues in North Chelmsford, Menasha, and Cumberland have performed exceptionally
well. This decision is no reflection on their efforts, and we will be assisting each of them in any way
possible as they transition to their next career step, either within our company or to another position,”
