and expressions of difference alongside unifying traditions.

and help them to maximise their learning experience.

• In supporting students’ individual learning needs through a balanced
approach.

Curriculum overview
The success of the ACG Kindergarten curriculum lies in the way it incorporates the International
Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) inquiry and high-quality play-based learning
experiences. This approach allows children to be active participants and leaders of their own learning.
Kindergarten students complete four ‘Units of Inquiry’ per year. Subjects such as English language,
Bahasa Indonesia, mathematics, science, music, visual art, physical education, and swimming are
integrated as much as possible into the content of the units.
Kindergarten
Children study four Units of Inquiry under the
transdisciplinary themes of:

High School - Diploma
Years 12–13
ACG School Jakarta also offers an academic curriculum that innovatively
incorporates the requirements of the Indonesian national syllabus into the school
programme. Due to a range of reasons, a student may choose to take the high
school diploma pathway rather than following the IGCSE and IBDP course of
study. In this case, students undertake a combination of examined and non-
examined subjects at Years 10 to 13 to earn their ACG High School Diploma.
