1. Introduction to RSA SecureID

RSA SecurID is a two-factor authentication technology that is used to protect network resources.
The authentication is based on two factors -- something you know (a password or PIN) and something you
have (an authenticator)

2. RSA SecureID Soft Token Installation

1. Download RSA soft token installation package using following links:


 RSA Soft token 64-bit - For 64 bit Operating system
 RSA Soft token 32-bit - For 32 bit Operating system

2. Extract software installation package in new folder. Open RSASecureIDToken500 folder.

3. Double click on RSASecureID500 installer to start RSA soft token installation.


Note: User must have System Local Admin Privileges to install the software

4. A new wizard will be opened click on Next button.

5. Accept license agreement and click on Next button.

6. Setup type window select typical settings and click on Next.

7. Click on install button. Now installation started.

8. Before installation wizard finish select “Launch RSA SecureID Software token” check box and
click on finish button.

Note: if you are getting following error upon application launch kindly reboot your system and
then launch it.

9. An import token wizard will be opened. Click on import from file, a new key import window will
be opened.

10. Click browse and locate the Soft Token you placed in local system directory e.g. User Profile
Desktop, or somewhere other system local drive or plugged-in USB media etc.

Note: Before installation you will receive a token file via email from Ufone Service Desk Team. If you don’t
have this file, please contact respective Franchisee Team Lead

11. Browse token file with extension. sdtid and click on open button.

12. Click on ok button a new window will open.

13. Token is password protected. Click on ok button.

Note: your login ID (in my case my password is rizwan.aslam) will be your Password for more assistance
you can contact your respective Franchise Team Lead.

14. You will receive a message windows as follows. Click on ok button.

15. You have successfully installed soft Token in RSA Software Token package

16. You would have to follow the Self-Service Portal https://selfservice.ufone.com/console-


selfservice/SelfService.do to setup the Soft Token PIN/T-PIN before login to CAReS Web Service.

17. On the Portal, you can use your franchise ID e.g. “UFRxxxxxx” and click OK.

18. You may get drop down Manu to select “Authentication Method” as shown below and Click Log
On button.
Note: From drop down menu if you choose password, your password will be windows
authentication password.

19. Now you can only enter Passcode visible at your Soft Token and Click Log On button.

20. Next, you may get following screen to set the T-PIN / PIN. Enter 4-digit numeric number upon
your choice and re-enter “Confirm New PIN”

Note: You must wait for Next Token code which will appear on Soft Token screen before Click on OK
button.

21. Enter the Next Token code and once your code is accepted, you will get following screen as
shown below.

22. Now you have successfully setup the soft token T-PIN/PIN.

Note: In-case of any query you may contact directly to your respective Franchisee Support Executive or
Team Lead.

23. After the Token PIN/T-PIN setup, you can login the CAReS Franchise Portal
https://carescrm.ufonegsm.biz for business activities.
