As Head of Service for the Prince’s Trust I have extensive experience in overseeing, designing and

includes collaborating across the wider organisation and liaising with the appropriate government
office to agree on programme content and leading briefings. Managing the £150m skills budgets for
the combined authority (regional government) I have managed and developed stakeholder relations
with government, employer and third sector organisations. As strategic lead I supported senior
political figures with policy reports, briefing notes and liaising with the political teams on visits to
senior stakeholders. Working for the Dutch Permanent Representation to the UNHRC in Geneva I
managed the Asia & the Pacific … , being responsible for ……

I arranged events and visit programmes for diplomatic partners, NGO’s and ministerial visits to the
Permanent Representation.
Policy support: research, analysis and reporting policy issues. Supporting policy leads

Protocol lead: drafting notes verbale, liaising with thai government on protocol matters

Seeing the big picture: tell us about a time where you had to analyse long-term trends about a
particular issue, and then plan activity designed to impact on the issue. How did you go about this
and what was the outcome?

As part of managing the devolved Adult Education Budget I have developed the 2022-2025 West
Midlands Adult Education Strategy. To develop the strategy, long term employment, vacancy and
skills data for the region needed to be analysed to determine the skills needs per industry/sector, the
skills gaps of the working population which prevented them from successfully filling vacancies and
the education gaps in the adult education sector. This led to a clear picture on the sector skills gaps in
the region which fed into the regional priorities for skills funding and the updated Regional Skills
Plan. This led to an increase in funding for priority sectors (including Health, Construction and Digital)
and for higher level adult education (Level 3/4), increasing the sustainable job outcome levels for
adults on Adult Education Budget funded skills programmes.
Making effective decisions: tell us about a time you made a decision that led to a change in the way
you or your team approached a particular task or issue. What factors did you take into account and
why did you make that decision? What was the outcome?

Managing a quality service: tell us about a time where you had to build a relationship with a new
customer or partner. How did you build the relationship to ensure both you and their needs were
met, and how did you measure the impact of your engagement and interaction?

Delivering at pace: describe a situation that required you to manage several pieces of work at the
same time. How did you manage, organise and prioritise your work? What lessons did you learn from
that experience?

Programme management: please outline what programme management training you have
undertaken or your previous experience managing projects or programmes.
