Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy Level(s): (Which level(s) will this lesson meet using this technology
tool?)
How will this lesson be implemented? Check all that apply. (Sometimes only one option will
apply.)
☐ Teacher-directed: There is no student voice and choice in the activities. Students are guided by the
teacher's direction and expectations.
☐ Student-Led: Students are given voice and choice in the activities. They may select the topic for
presentation and/or determine the tool they will use to meet the learning goal. Products of
learning will be uniquely designed. Teacher simply facilitates the learning in a lesson like this.
☐ Project-based and/or Publishable: Students are completing projects to demonstrate their learning
and the projects can be shared outside of the classroom. This objective could be reached by
displaying the project on the school’s morning newscast, posting the project to the classroom
blog, presenting it to another class, or publishing it via an outside source.

Lesson Idea
Managing the technology/engagement: Describe a way to use this technology in a way that
gets students actively involved in authentic tasks and contexts? How will you manage the
classroom behaviors on the technology: Students will be actively involved in authentic tasks
and contexts by co-using the technology. They will be in partners and use the technology
together to go through the presentation. Once it is time for them to complete the
assessments, they will separate and use their own laptops to complete the assessments
individually. I will manage the classroom behaviors by making sure they are staying on task
and watching to make sure they are completing the assessments individually.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL): The technology tool I have selected supports all
learners through the diversity it allows students to have through their responses, such as
having multiple-choice, open-ended questions, drawing, or a draggable option. These
different features not only support the UDL framework of engagement but also action and
expression.
Reflecting on enhanced learning: I feel the activity will impact student learning by giving
them a chance to improve their thinking immediately with the real- time feedback that
Peardeck offers. Instead of students having to wait to receive a response, Pear deck’s
features create a chance to stop the incorrect thinking as soon as possible by the teachers.
