Botanical Name: Eugenia Jambolana

Synonyms
सुर भप ा - सुग प ा । having sweet smelling leaves.
महास्क ा - महान स्क ोऽस्या: । having long stem & branches
वेत स - growing along river banks.
जलज्म्बुक - growing near water.
महारस - भूतरसयु : fruit is juicy.
नीलफला - नीला न फलान्यस्य । : fruit is blush purple colour.
महाफला - महा त बृहदाकाग ण फलान्यस्याः big fruit।

Morphology (Indian Medicinal Plants)
Habitat - A large Evergreen glabrous tree upto 3.6m girth and 30m
high.
Root : Taproot, branched.
Stem : Erect, branched, thick cylindrical, Solid With grey bark.
Bark:Pale Brown, slightly Rough,
shallow cracks and depressions.
Bark is acid and sweet, digestive,
astrignent to bowels. bronchitis,
asthma thirst, good for sore throat.

Leaf : variable, usually 7.5-15 cm.

Choorna of patha, Medwika, Gairika, sunthi, Toyadha, Lodhra,
Rasanjana, Ambashta, Lodhra, Billwa, Ativisha, samanga Etc... and
prepare choorna on the day of Pushyami Nakshatra and administer
intemally with Honey & Tandulodaka. (Pusyanuga Choorna).
