CHAPTER 1
Introduction
Introduction should establish the topic with a strong opening that grabs the reader’s
attention before giving an overview of recent research on your chosen topic. Avoid going too
in-depth in the introduction; deep dives into your topic should be saved for the body of the
paper. Background and historical context help explain to the reader why your research is
important. The last portion of this part is your personal justification that is personal thoughts and
ideas why you would like to conduct the study.
Theoretical Framework
Theoretical framework are theories and principle that has something to do with the study.
This should be presented in this part. The relation between the stated theory and the present
undertaking should be clearly.
Conceptual Framework
This includes the general statement in a question form by which the study would like to
answer.
Hypothesis
The hypothesis of the study should be based on the specific questions that require the
testing of significant differences, relationships and the like and is usually testes by
corresponding statistical treatment.

Scope and Limitation of the Study
This part usually answers the WH questions (Who, What, Where, When, Why and How)
aspects of the research. This should present the coverage of the study.
The significance of a study is its importance. It refers to the contributions to and impact
of the study on a research field. The significance also indicated who benefits from the research
findings and how.
Definition of Terms
All terminologies that seem to be new or have other meaning for the reader should be
operationally or conceptually defined. Variables used in the study are also to be defined.

Chapter 2
Related Literature
This section discusses related literature which are often from journalist or any officials whereas
the opinions and facts presented matters and can affect the readers’ opinion and thinking. Legal bases
should also be included in this section. This is to determine the relevance of the study to the
government's thrust. The major sources of related legal bases are laws and department directives such
as, circulars, orders, memoranda, etc. These laws and department directives serve as legal basis for
the paradigm of the study. [note: 5 local and 5 foreign literatures]
Related Studies
Related studies are from researchers and can be in the form of a thesis, dissertation,
case studies, etc. They can be published or unpublished. In the last of part of this section,
mention why those studies are related to your research study. [note: 5 local & 5 foreign studies]

Chapter 3
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This chapter presents research design, setting of the study, subject of the study,
sources of data, procedure of the study and statistical treatment.
Research Design
This part presents the type/kind of research design in the study (such as descriptive,
experimental, historical, developmental and others) The procedural part of the method, its
appropriateness to the study and some of its advantages should be given attention and should
be discussed well.
This section includes brief discussion of the research locale ( e.g. history, milestone,
mission, vision, services offered, etc.) and the exact location where the study will be conducted.
A location map should be provided.
This contains the description and contents of the project/product itself, the respondents,
the number of respondents, and the sampling techniques used in choosing the respondents
should be discussed briefly.
Sources of Data
This part pertains to data gathering instruments used in the study. (e.g. Questionnaire).
The contents of the questionnaire should be discussed here. Other additional sources of data
used like the internet, interviews, and the like should also be mentioned here.
Includes the discussion of the different activities provided in the Gantt Chart. The
construction procedures, designing process, try out and revisions made are required to be
presented. If the study made used of developmental method, the steps in developing the
product should be explained.

a. Conduct of the Study [refer to your Gantt Chart but discuss only up to the activity that
you have done. Full details should be discussed in your Thesis 2]
Statistical Treatment
Example:
1. To design and construct an improvised engine, qualitative discussion will be used.
2. To determined the level of acceptability of the device in terms of accuracy,
modifiability, user-friendliness and portability, weighted mean will be used.
3. To find out the significant difference between the developed improvised gadget and
the existing gadget with respect to the abovementioned variables, independent T-
test will be used.

NOTES:
1. Required Font- ARIAL, size 12, double space
2. The page number per new Chapter is omitted but is still counted
3. Each Chapter Main Heading should be all caps, Centered, Bold
4. All Sub-Headings - > capitalize each word, Underlined, left-aligned
5. For every Figure, Label it with , e.g. Figure 1, Bold, centered below the figure, put the
description/caption below it.
