Narrative Report in Administering Second Periodic Test

A DepED periodic test is an assessment tool used by the Department of

Education (DepED) in the Philippines to measure the academic progress and achievement of
learners in a specific subject area. It is administered periodically throughout the academic year
and covers the lessons taught within particular period. It is administered in all levels of public
and private schools.

To ensure that learning really takes place Mrs. Jackielou M. Rebualos in Grade II- Crystal
class of Torres Elementary School administered the Second Periodical Test last January 22-23,
2024. And to avoid cheating and to maintain the discipline of learners during examination Mrs.
Rebualos divided the learners into two sets/groups. The first group took the test during the first
day of the examination, January 22, 2024 and the second group took the test during the second
day of the examination January 23, 2024. The examination starts at exactly 7:30 in the morning
and 1:00 in the afternoon and ends at exactly 11:15 A.M. in the morning and 3:20 in the
afternoon. After explaining the flow of the test, the teacher orients the learners about the rules
to be followed during the test. It includes the following:

 All bags must be in front of the room and all notebooks should be left inside the bag.
 They must have lead pencil, eraser, sharpener and a sheet of blank paper for
computation purposes.
 They are not allowed to communicate in any way with any person other than their
teacher during the examination.
 They are not allowed to start the test proper unless the teacher told them to do so.
 Learners are reminded to shade circle for correct options on answer-sheet.
 Learners are also reminded to avoid using liquid tape eraser in erasing shaded circles.

After having orientation, learners put their bag in front of the room. Teacher guides the
learners in answering each item being administered.

The first and second day of the first periodic test was found to be successful. The learners really
feel that the periodic test is very important. We hope that on the next grading all of the learners will be
more focus on the lessons being discuss by the teacher so that on the next test they will get higher
grade. Learners already knew that the test is not like the usual daily assessment.

Narrative Report in Seminar Attended

Instructional leadership is leadership that supports the development of

teaching and learning. It is referred to using different names including pedagogical
leadership, learning centered leadership, leadership for learning, and student-
centered leadership.

Last January 26,27, and 28, 2024 I attended the International Seminar-
Workshop in Instructional Leadership with the theme: “Instructional Leadership:
An Avenue of Empowering Teaching and Learning and a Collaboration with School
Heads’ and Teachers’ Performance,” at NEAP Conference Hall, Teachers Camp,
Baguio City.

The speakers have enough knowledge about their topic and I really learned
a lot from them. I am looking forward for another seminar like this.

Strengthening values, health, and peace education is necessary in

As stated in the DM 001 s 2023, Torres Elementary School adopted and
