JOCKEY PUMP PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECKLIST

WORK DESCRIPTION STATUS REMARKS/COMMENTS

1. Check Pump-motor operation for noise and vibration. Ok


2. Cleaning of pump-motor set, wipe off dirt, dust, oil, or other liquid from external Ok
surfaces. Remove dirt on the ventilating air inlets. This can be carried into the motor
windings and may cause overheating or insulation breakdown.
3. Check for water leaks from the mechanical seal/packing glands. Add and adjust Ok
packing when the water drops exceeds by 6 but a maximum of 10 drops.
4. Clean the concrete foundation of the pump set. Ok
5. Check/lubricate Pump-motor bearings. Ok
6. Check parameters of operation stage: voltage, current, frequency, RPM, Ok
discharge and suction pressure, pressure vessel pressure, and cut-in/cut-off of
pressure switch setting.

Pressure cut-in: 80 psi


Pressure cut-off: 85 psi
7. Check panels, indicator/pilot lights and ensure O-H-A switch in normal (AUTO) In Auto operation
position before leaving the work area.
Retighten terminal connections as necessary.
