CONTRACT FACULTY ENGAGEMENT

Applications are invited in prescribed proforma for the appointment/engagement of Assistant Professor
(on purely contract basis) from the eligible candidates at a consolidated remuneration per month as per
AICTE/Institute norms in the Engineering/Technology (Civil Engineering, Computer Science &
Engineering, Information Technology, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics & Computing),
Architecture, Management (MBA), Applied Science (Mathematics, Chemistry & Physics),
Humanities disciplines of the Institute.

Eligible candidates having eligibility criteria as per AICTE norms may apply as per following:

Details of Essential Qualifications and Experience

 Assistant Professor [Engineering/Technology]

(Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Chemical
Engineering, Mathematics & Computing) Disciplines:
B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branch with first class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech, or
M.E./M.Tech.

 Assistant Professor [Architecture]

Bachelor‘s Degree in Architecture or equivalent to B. Arch. with minimum 60 % marks and three years of
relevant professional experience.
Or
Bachelor‘s Degree in Architecture or equivalent to B. Arch. and Master‘s Degree in Architecture or in allied
subjects of Architecture with minimum 60 % marks at either level and one year of relevant professional
experience.

 Assistant Professor [Management (MBA)]

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline and Master’s Degree in Business

Administration/PGDM/C.A./ICWA/M.Com. with first class or equivalent and two years of professional
experience after acquiring the degree of Master’s.

 Assistant Professor [ Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics & Humanities]

i. Master‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is
followed) in a relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an
accredited foreign university.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualification, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test
(NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contain in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this clause; a candidate who has a Ph.D.
degree awarded before 2009, or has been awarded Ph.D Degree after 2009 in accordance with
university grants commission (Minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D Degree)

 Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility Condition of
NET/SLET/SET.

HOW TO APPLY:
Interested candidates are required to submit the application in prescribed format available on Institute
Website www.mitsgwalior.in along with the necessary enclosures and a Demand Draft (Non Refundable)
of Rs. 750/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST of MP Domicile) drawn in favour of “Director, MITS, Gwalior” should
be submitted to the office of the Director, MITS, Gwalior on or before 15/06/2022 up to 04:00 p.m. in
the A4 size envelope.

CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT

NOTES/INSTRUCTIONSCAREFULLY BEFORE FILLING UP THE APPLICATION FORM:

1. The interview will be conducted tentatively in the first week of July 2022.
2. The schedule of Interview will be notified on Institute Website (www.mitsgwalior.in) along with
the list ofshortlisted candidates invited for personal interview.
3. The Candidates invited for Interview shall bring their original certificates in respect of education
qualification, date of birth, relevant experience, Aadhar card, PAN card etc. Candidates coming
without original certificate will not be permitted appearing in the Interview.
4. Any amendments made in qualification by AICTE/UGC/COA from time to time will be applicable.
5. Candidates shall deliver a teaching demonstration/ Power Point presentation during personal
interview. For teaching demonstration, candidate might chose a topic among a pool of topics which
will be made available to candidates in due course of time. The selection committee shall assess
each candidate for the following:
(i) Content of presentation/demonstration
(ii) Teaching skills
(iii) Depth of subject knowledge
(iv) Impact of Research & Development / Publication / IPR/ Patent
(v) Responsiveness and Overall Impact
6.Candidates who wish to apply for more than one discipline should apply separately for each post in
the prescribedmanner.
7.Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a
disqualificationfor the post.
8.No interim enquiries/correspondence/communication of any sort will be entertained on the matter.
9.Application incomplete in any respect and not accompanied by relevant
certificates/documents/photograph/required fee may be rejected.
10. All qualifications, experience will be considered as on the last date of the submission of
application form.
11. This contract appointment will be short-term engagement. The contract services may be
terminated at a notice ofseven days.

DOCUMENTS/CERTIFICATES REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF INTERVIEW

i) Matriculation/10th Standard or equivalent certificate indicating date of birth, or mark sheet of
Matriculation/10th standard or equivalent issued by Central/State Board indicating date of Birth in
support of their claim of age. Where date of birth is not available in certificate/mark sheet issued by
concerned Educational Board, School leaving certificate indicating date of Birth will be considered.

 ii) Degree/Diploma certificate/mark sheet pertaining to all the academic years as proof of educational
qualification claimed.
iii) Caste certificate of SC/ST/OBC, if applicable in the prescribed proforma only from the competent
authority indicating clearly the candidate’s Caste, the Act/Order under which the Caste is
recognized as SC/ST/OBC andthe village/town the candidate is ordinarily resident of.
iv) Research papers/Books published etc. , if any.
v) Experience Certificate if applicable
vi) No TA/DA will be admissible for attending an interview.
