Learning Episode 7: CREATING MY CLASSROOM/REMOTE


LEARNING MANAGEMENT PLAN

To have a meaningful and successful accomplishment in this FS episode, be sure


to read through the whole episode before participating and assisting in your FS 2
Resource Teacher's class. Note all the information you will need and tasks you
will need to do before working on this episode.

Creating My Classroom/ Remote Learning Management Plan


A classroom management plan is a plan that a teacher designs that sets the expectation for
every student/. The purpose of a classroom management plan is to make the students
accountable for their actions. Effective classroom management increases students’ success,
enhances students’ academic skills and competencies and promotes social and emotional
development.
The teaching-learning process may be implemented in various modalities. Teachers must bear
in mind that alternatives and other options may be considered in designing the classroom
remote management plan.
A good learning environment produces highly engaged students who learn more, do more and
work more. Teachers likewise become more creative and productive in their work.

KEY ELEMENTS FOR EFFECTIVE CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT


1. CLASSROOM DESIGN: Refers to seating arrangement, bulletin boards, display,
storage area, equipment, supplies, etc.
2. RULES: these are the expectations set at the beginning of the class to foster love,
care, respect and sense of community in the class.
3. DISCIPLINE: classroom rules must define the consequences of every
action/misdemeanor in the class.
4. SCHEDULING: includes time allotment given for each period and activity in class. This
will make the student stays on time and on task.
5. ORGANIZATION: refers to the systematic arrangement of files and records and
keeping them organized and ready to use.
6. INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: ways by which you implement your learning
content. Tailoring your techniques to the subject, grade level and nature of the learner
is really important.
7. COMMUNCATION: consistent open lines of communication to all the stakeholders of
its school community will lead to better teacher-student teacher relationship
In order to implement these elements effectively, a classroom management plan must be
designed. Each teacher has its own unique style of management to meet class needs,
although the same elements are found consistently. In order for a classroom management plan
to be successful, the students must have a complete understanding of each of the guidelines.
At the same time teachers must follow their plan to ensure that the learning environment is
safe, friendly, secured and non-threatening whether in the classroom or in remote learning.

After realizing the different elements and steps of a classroom/remote learning management
plan, you are now ready to make your own. You may ask or request from a teacher or surf from
the internet some samples or exemplars that may guide you in creating your plan.

1. What salient components have you noted?

As educators, it's crucial for us to stay attuned to the individual needs of each student.
To facilitate learning and promote reflection, understanding the unique requirements of
our students is paramount. This segment will center on the establishment and
implementation of classroom routines and procedures.

2. Why is there a need to utilize the information to create your classroom management
plan?
Utilizing information to create a classroom management plan is essential for
understanding the students' learning styles, preferences, and behavioral tendencies
allows teachers to tailor classroom management strategies to better suit the individual
and collective needs of the class. Understanding students' backgrounds, interests, and
strengths helps foster a sense of belonging and engagement. Incorporating student
information into a classroom management plan is crucial for creating a supportive,
inclusive, and effective learning environment. It allows teachers to tailor their approach,
proactively address challenges, and foster positive relationships, ultimately contributing
to the overall success and well-being of their students.

3. What were significant things that you noticed when you were implementing your plan?

The critical lesson I've learned in implementing my plan is that effective planning is the
cornerstone of achieving a well-organized and well-managed classroom. The
Classroom Management Plan plays a vital role in helping students concentrate on their
learning tasks and grasp the expectations set for them. A primary objective of this plan
is to establish an environment that is conducive to learning and fosters effectiveness.

4. Were there items in your classroom remote learning management plan which were not
tailored the needs of your students?

No, and I think to enhance, I should concentrate on the materials they will utilize rather
than those that will only be showcased in the classroom.

1. What elements in your classroom/remote learning management plan were mostly
followed/complied with?

The ones mostly complied was primarily on maintaining the cleanliness of the
classroom and nurturing the moral character of the students, which included showing
respect to both teachers and fellow students, using positive language, and similar
behaviours.

2. What elements in your plan were the most difficult to implement? Why?

Maintaining the cleanliness of the classroom is the most difficult because


learners tend to throw their garbage everywhere.

Reflect

What were your realization after creating and implementing your classroom/remote learning
management plan?

I realized that these routines will prepare these learners to be good people or citizens of the
country. By follow simple rules or routines, their mind is improving in knowing the do’s and
dont’s. And it applies to reality of life.

The problems/challenges I encountered in writing my classroom Management Plan
is that they are diverse; some of them have domestic responsibilities that may affect the
Classroom Management Plan.

REFLECT
I hope to achieve and to address these problems and challenges by
proposing an action research project on the subject. I believe it will also help if I consult my
plan with other teachers and solicit their feedback and suggestions.

PLAN
Some strategies of way which I can employ to improve these situations/problems by conducting
action research on how to resolve this issue. In addition, I will question my students about the
issue and invite them to share their thoughts and opinions. I will try to readjust and revise my
strategy if necessary.

Based on my answers, the possible title for my action research on this episode is

My Classroom Management Plan


Philosophical Statement: I aim to establish a secure, pleasant, and collaborative learning
atmosphere. Discipline will be implemented promptly and as needed. A thoughtfully structured
online learning experience presents chances for students to delve into subjects, sparks their
curiosity, and provides choices for assignments that they find both challenging and intriguing.
Classroom Rules and Behaviors
To ensure the discipline of my students, I will establish classroom rules and procedures such
as:
Show your teacher respect and pay attention to what he or she is saying.
Raise your hand if you want to speak.
Remain silent when your teacher speaks.
Share new concepts
Maintain a clean classroom at all times.
Stick to the seating arrangement.
Use positive language.
Remain alert at all times.
Obey all school regulations.
Maintain a good behavior at all times

Teacher-Student Relationship
To foster positive connections with my students, I aim to treat each of them fairly
and demonstrate genuine respect. My approach involves guiding them towards
making ethical choices and steering clear of inappropriate behavior. Additionally, I
will emphasize the importance of mutual respect among peers. I believe that
employing incentives rather than penalties will serve as a motivating factor.
Furthermore, I will provide instruction on effective communication skills,
encompassing both speaking and active listening.

Schedules and Timeframes


Regarding time management and scheduling, I will arrange my class timetable
in alignment with the agreed-upon schedule between the school and myself. It is
essential to take into account the perspectives of my students when planning. I will
strive to make each segment of my lesson engaging and participatory to ensure that
my students remain focused on the current task. It is crucial to capture the attention of
all students and to be mindful of their emotions and individual circumstances.

Classroom Structure, Design and Arrangements


To foster an optimal learning atmosphere in my classroom, I will furnish
resources conducive to my students' development. Additionally, I plan to integrate daily
technology usage into our learning activities. Moreover, I am committed to removing any
elements that may cause distractions or stress within the classroom environment.
Classroom Safety Rules and Procedures
To guarantee the well-being and protection of my students, I will establish safety
measures. I will equip the classroom with a first aid kit to address any unforeseen issues. For
added security, I will implement regulations, such as mandating students to sign a logbook
when leaving the classroom, and instructing them to inform a security guard if they encounter
any concerns. It is imperative to have access to their parents' or guardians' contact numbers in
case of emergencies. Furthermore, to enhance safety, students will be restricted from leaving
the campus during class hours.
Strategies for Rewards and Consequences

I plan to establish class guidelines and protocols that will ensure students take
responsibility for their behavior. I am confident that students will adhere to these rules when
accompanied by both penalties and rewards.
