Lesson Plan in HEALTH 9

The lesson plan aims to teach students about the six classifications of drugs of abuse: stimulants, depressants, hallucinogens, narcotics, inhalants, and cannabis. Students will watch a video, solve a drug cipher activity, and discuss the classifications. They will also discuss healthier coping mechanisms compared to using drugs. An essay question asks students to identify coping strategies. Students will then take a multiple choice quiz on the classifications. The lesson emphasizes making informed decisions and identifies drugs as potentially dangerous even in small amounts.
