Registered VCDS users encountering difficulty can join and post in the Retrofits section of our forum . Please include the Auto-Scan
prior to the retrofit in addition to the Auto-Scan after the replacement parts were installed if assistance is needed.
If in doubt check the Parts Catalog and order based on the VIN or based on the Original Part Number. In any case the Catalog
should interpret the Part and provide you with a Part Number that superseded the Original Part Number. The final Part Number
you will get is normally a Highline Module which you can verify based on the Table below.

5K0-953-569-E appears to support Automatic transmission only with KESSY. This module does not appear to support the coding for
Automatic Transmission (Ignition Key Removal Lock) installed per this thread .
5K0-953-569-T using software levels 0122 and 0136 should support LIN 1.3 steering wheels in addition to LIN 2.0 per the feedback
here: Passat B6 steering wheel upgrade to MK6
5K0-953-569-T had a TPI which flashed the SWL to 0140 and we believe it would support LIN1.3 as well per that thread.
5K0-953-569-AK may support 8T2 - Cruise control system (CCS) electronic with 2ZH Leather multi-function steering wheel controls.
That should be cruise control via MFSW buttons but feel free to post in our forum if needed.
Feedback would be appreciated if 5K0-953-569-C supports G85 coding.
5K0-953-569-AL
We received e-mail feedback specific to 5K0-953-569-AL related to rejected Byte 02, Bit 0 "Electronic Steering Column Lock
(ESCL) installed (PQ46 only)" coding. This module does not appear to be factory installed in 3C/35 chassis models with PQ46
ESCL and may NOT be compatible resulting in DTC: 02823 - Requirements for Locking the Steering Column Lock not met.
There's a (NAR market) 2017 (5N) Tiguan Limited without CCS horror story related to factory installed Part No SW: 5K0 953 501
CL HW: 5K0 953 569 AJ module. That SW# was dropped by VW and replacement HW# 5K0-953-569-AL modules have
incompatible software with the TCM. The VW "fix" to resolve P1867/18275 - Powertrain Data Bus - Missing Message from Steering
Wheel (J527) is located in post #49: here.
The same 5K0-953-569-AL problem surfaced on a 2011 (8X) Audi A1. The user had to incorrectly code Byte 2, CCS Bits 4-7 to
option 40 (Cruise Control controlled via Multi-Function-Steering-Wheel (MFSW)) to resolve P1867/006247 - Powertrain Data
Bus - Missing Message from Steering Wheel (J527) in the 7-Speed 0AM DSG controller.
5K0-953-569-BC Appears to only support CCS via MQB platform steering wheel buttons. Feedback specific to MFSW 2K0 959 442 A
can be found here and a factory condition scan with this combination can be found here .
5K0-953-569-BF Appears to only support CCS via MQB platform steering wheel buttons ([CNL] and CCS on left side of wheel). It does
NOT appear to support CCS via stalk per the feedback in post #8: here .
