2. LOST / UNCERTAIN OF POSITION

After ETA has expired:

Maintain heading/speed for 10% of time since last fix

Calculate remaining endurance
Climb............................................................Improves visibility; Radio and Navaid range
Map Reading....................................................Try to determine position (map/ground)
Radio/Navaids............................................................Re-check frequencies and identify
Radio Call.....................................................................................For possible assistance
Search...................................................................Circle of uncertainty or square search
Precautionary Landing........................................................................At pilot discretion

3. RADIO FAILURE (VFR FLIGHTS)

No Flight Plan:
Continue in VMC
Remain clear of Class A-E airspace
Land at most suitable airfield

Flight Plan filed:


Continue in VMC
If already instructed to join circuit – continue
Squawk 7600
Remain clear of Class A-E airspace
Land at most suitable airfield
Report arrival at nearest ATSU
