JS Prom Critique Paper

My Magical Junior-Senior Promenade

All I thought is that I will never experience this so-called

JS PROM, but thank God I did experience it. One of the most

memorable moments in a student's high school experience is the

junior-senior promenade. It is a high school student formal dance

or gathering. Our junior-senior promenade was held at the school

gymnasium of the School of Our Lady of Atocha Inc. on February

16, 2023. It was my first ever junior-senior promenade in my

entire life and I did not expect it to be so much fun, exciting,

magical, and memorable. My companion that night was none other

than my gorgeous and loving mother.

I felt like I was a princess walking over the swords with my

queen. It was a wonderful experience and I am sure it was a night

to remember. I had my first dance with my lovely mother, followed

by our class cotillion dance. The dance was so enjoyable the fact

that I had the chance and opportunity to dance with new friends.

There was so much fun and laughter among us students during that

special occasion. Each one of the few times in our lives when we

get to dress up and feel like a princess since it was my first

time to wear a ball gown.

The junior-senior promenade we had was such an amazing one.

It was well organized, the venue was beautifully decorated, and

the sitting arrangement was properly done. The masters of


ceremonies were surprisingly great and marvelous during the

event, and they had a sense of humor that made the audience alive

and alert until the last part of the program. The audience was

entertained by the stunning dancers who danced gracefully and

exquisitely. The parents were extremely happy watching their sons

and daughters dancing in their beautiful attire. The food served

was just enough and the food was just okay for me.

The JS promenade which was held last February 16, 2023, is

really a great celebration/occasion on the part of students like

us which aims to give young people the chance to develop their

social skills. So I can say that the JS promenade is really

important for every student to join and participate. The junior-

senior promenade will only come once in our life so we should not

miss this special event, or else “you will lose one-half of your

life.” So students who will not be joining this very important

school activity will surely regret the rest of their lives. They

will never experience the joys, lots of laughter, and funs during

this special celebration. Holding the JS prom on our school

campus is really good but, I think it should have been better if

there is another venue that is more spacious with air-conditioned

so that all the participants including the parents, guests, and

visitors will feel more comfortable with a well-ventilated venue.

Foods to be served should also be taken into consideration. It


should be well-planned and should be cheap but healthy and

nutritious. I also suggest that the JS promenade should be

compulsory for all grade 10 and grade 11 students.
