2. Checking of attendance
3. Greetings
4. Motivation
Before we start our lesson for
today. I want to show you two
pictures. And then you are
going to tell me what is in
picture A and then what is in
picture B.

Is that clear? Yes, teacher.

But before we start our lesson

what should we do while I am
talking here in front? Listen and keep quiet.

Okay let us start now!

Now class, what do you see in
picture A?
The park is dirty.
What do you see in picture B?
The park is clean.
What similarities do you see in

picture A and picture B?

What is the difference between

What can you say about these

pictures?

B. Presentation
Based on the pictures and
from my questions, do you
have any idea on what will be

our topic for today?

Yes that's right, it is connected

to our topic for today. Our topic
for today is all about compare
and contrast information
heard.

Why is it important to compare

For us to know the similarities and differences
and contrast the information
between what information contains.
heard?

C. Discussion
How do we compare and

contrast?
When we contrast we tell the differences.
What do we call it when we

and contrast them.
Now I will give an example and
then let us try to compare and
contrast.

I'm going to show you two

objects. Can you tell me what
these are?

What objects are these? They are the same ball.

What can you say about these

two balls? The first ball is big, and the second ball is
small.
What similarities do they
have? They are both a ball, they are bouncy.

That's right!

Another example ;

I have an apple and orange,

now class let us try to compare
and contrast them.

-They are different in color.

-Apples grow in cool climates, while oranges
grow in warm climates.
-Apples have smooth and thin skin.
-Orange have rough and thick skin.
-They are both fruits.
Now, what is the difference -They both grow in trees.
between an apple and an -They are both healthy.
orange?

Yes, teacher.

What are their similarities?

Very good class!

Now let's read a short story

about two friends. Do you want
to hear their story?

Friendship Bond
For many years, Ali and Lea
have been good friends
though they differ in many
ways.

Ali is a Muslim, while Lea is a

Christian. Ali goes to the
mosque on Fridays, and Lea
goes to church on Sundays.
Ali is two years older than Lea,
although she is shorter
than Lea. Ali excels more in
Mathematics than Lea, though
Lea performs better in.
Science. Lea loves to eat
food like fried chicken, while
Ali likes to eat vegetables.

For them, it does not matter

how they differ, as long as they
understand each other. This is
what makes their
friendship lasts

Now let us try to compare and

contrast the two friends.

Let's draw a venn diagram

Alis is a muslim
Goes to mosque
Excel in math
Eats vegetables

Lea is a christian
Goes to church
Better in math
Eats fried chicken

Good friend
Like to worship
Learner
Love to eat

What is the difference between

Ali from Lea?

What is the difference of lea

between ali?

What are their similarities? Compare and contrast information heard.

When we compare, we say the similarities.

When we contrast we tell the differences.
How do we write this in the
form of a venn diagram?
For us to know the similarities and differences
between two things or what information
contains.

Very good class!

D. Generalization
So now class what have we
learned again?

What is compare and contrast

again? Yes, teacher.

Why is compare and contrast

important? Listen , keep quiet, and participate.

That's right!

E. Application
Now we are going to play. I will
group you into 3 groups, and
then I will show you two
pictures, which you are going
to compare and contrast.

Each group will help each

other to list down the
differences and similarities in
the picture.

Did you all follow?

But before we start the game,

what should we do while we
are having an activity?

Very good! Now take a look at

the pictures here in front.
Compare and contrast, then
write it inside a venn diagram.

V. Evaluation
Direction: Read the short story and then compare and contrast it. List down all the differences
and similarities that you can see from the story.

My Pets
I have a dog and a cat. My dog and cat are very adorable and cute. My dog loves to eat bones,
while my cat loves to eat fish. My dog is brown, while my cat is white. They both like playing
around. My dog barks loudly, while my cat meows softly. I love them both so much.
