Materials:
-approx. 4OO-450yds of bulky yarn with appropriate hook size
-My suggestion: to keep your sts compact, go down a hook size – use a smaller crochet size than
required. This will help keep your bag firm and minimize gaps between sts, giving a smoother surface.
- 1 button and (2) 11/2”round rings
FINISHED SIZE - using the same pattern you can obtain different sizes by changing hook size
and the yarn. Any yarn can be used with appropriate hook size to customize the bag to suit anyone!
My bag is 10″/14″ using bulky yarn (type Bernat Maker Fashion) and K10.5-6.5mm crochet hook.
Abbreviations:
Ch – chain
St(s) - stitch(es)
HDC-half double crochet / SC-single crochet
Rnd-round
SlSt(s) - slip stitch(es)
RS/WS- Right side, Wrong side

NOTES:
- This Bag is crocheted bottom up, in joined rounds
- All Rnds are made on WS ( wrong side facing you).
- Start with a square at the base, then form the chevron design going up.
- Ch2is considered first HDC- to join round that begin with Ch2, Sl St into the top of the Ch-2.
- Brackets [ ] x number = are used to tell you how many times to work a certain step. The number
immediately following the brackets tells you how many times to do the step.

4Stitches decrease in the center of Row:

YO and insert the crochet into the second st Before the central st and draw up a loop (3loops on
crochet)
Second stitch
before

Central stitch

Skip the st before the Central st,

insert the crochet into the central st and draw up a loop

(4loops on crochet)

Skip the st after the Central st

insert the crochet into the second st after the central st

and draw up a loop(5loops on crochet)

Yarn over the hook, draw through all 5 loops on hook: 4Sts decrease made.
Then, instead 5sts, you have now 1st.
This st will be the
central st next Round

Do Not Confuse the central stitch with this space

***The magic ring ( magic loop)***
- is used for beginning a crochet project worked in rounds and produces a
small neatly closed hole in the center of the first round. This method can
be used for beginning hats, doilies and other projects worked in rounds.

Wrap yarn around the index finger of your left hand:

Holding crochet hook in your right hand, insert hook

under the two yarn loops and hook the yarn coming
from the skein or ball,

Pull loop through:

Yarn over hook and pull loop

through loop on hook.

Now you have a Chain-1.

From now, your pattern will tell

you the number of stitches ( SC,
HDC, DC) crochets to make ( by
insert hook in ring, yarn over and
pull up loop,etc..)

End by making a Slip stitch in

the first Stitch and by pulling the
yarn end (yarn tail) to close the
ring.

The Base
Round 1: make a Magic ring, into ring crochet
Ch3(note: consider Ch 3 as first HDC and Ch1),
[3HDC, Ch1]x3times, 2HDC,
Sl St into the second chain of the Ch2,

Note:
- in the Rounds 2 and 4 consider Ch3 as first HDC+Ch1
-Do Not Forget the First stitch after the Ch1 space, see images below

Round 2: around Ch1 space, work (SlSt,

Ch3, HDC),

HDC in each of the next 3 sts

(Do Not Forget the First stitch afer the Ch1 space),

[around Ch1 space work (HDC, Ch1, HDC), HDC in each of the next 3 sts]x3
Sl St into the second chain of the Ch-2

👉At the end of Round 2 you have 5HDC on each side for a total of 5HDCx4=20HDC

Round 3: [around Ch1 space work (2HDC, Ch1, 2HDC) , HDC in each of the next sts until
Ch1 space]x3 . Do Not Forget the 1stst after the Ch1 space)

around the last Ch1 space work (2HDC, Ch1, 2HDC),

HDC in each of the next sts until the end of Round.

Join with a Sl St into the first HDC to close, SlSt in the next HDC (to reach the Ch1 space).

👉Each Round 3 adds 4HDC on each side for a total of 4HDCx4 = 16 additional HDC
Round 4: around Ch1 space work (SlSt, Ch3, HDC),

HDC in each of the next sts until the next

Ch1space,
(Do Not Forget the 1stst after the Ch1 space)

[around Ch1 space work (HDC, Ch1, HDC), HDC in each of the next sts until the next
Ch1space] x3. Join with a Sl St into the second chain of the Ch-2, to close.

👉Each Round 4 adds 2HDC on each side for a total of 2HDCx4 = 8 additional HDC

Repeat Round3-4 until you reach 10 inches or desired length for base.
Remember
Round3:- work in the corner (2HDC, ch1, 2HDC), each Round 3 add 4HDCx4=16HDC
- at the end Sl St into the first HDC to close, SlSt in the next HDC to reach the Ch1 space
Round 4:- work in the corner (HDC, ch1, HDC), each Round 4 add 2HDCx4=8HDC
-at the end join with a Sl St into the second chain of the Ch-2, to close

When you get 10" x 10" square, or the desired measurement, the base is done,
The last round must be the Round 3.
Do Not Cut the yarn, continue with the sides of the bag.

The SIDES
-counting in from 2 corners, place a stitch marker in the centre stich
of that row, repeat this for all 4 sides.

Round 5( the sides of the bag):

Sl st into the Corner, in the same corner work: (Ch2, HDC, Ch2, 2HDC),

HDC in each HDC until 2 sts before Central marker

Do Not Forget the 1stst after the Ch1 space

Decrease 4 sts from the next 5 sts ,

-see the photo tutorial on the page 3.
Make sure when you make the Decrease st, that the next HDC is
This st will be the central
tight, if it is worked loose you will have a big hole in your row. st next Round

- add the second strand of yarn, Ch1

-Turn the bag with the RS side facing you

-with this double strand of yarn make a SC border: SC in each st and around each Ch2,
around the opening of the bag,
End the boder with a Sl St n first
Ch1.

Cut the yarn, leavng a 15” to sew this corner with the next corner, with the ring inside.

Lay the bag flat in front of you, position the middle corner so that one lays out in a
triangular shape, with the seam centered. Fold the middle corner to the base and sew it
to the base.

Repeat for the other corner.

Continue with a long chain to create the strap for your bag, so:
-add a second strand of yarn and with 2 strands of yarn held together, make a chain 30”
long or as long as you like.
Turn and make HDC in each chain stitch until the last chain stitch,
3HC in the last ch- (you have rounded the corner).
Turn and continue working from the other side of the chain stitch, in the opposite loop of
the chain: HDC in each ch to end of chain. Finish with 2 HDC in the first chain stitch which
was worked in at the beginning of the round , and 1 SlSt in the first HDC on the round.
Cut the yarn, leaving a 15” long tail.
-pass this end of the strap through one round ring,
fold it and sew it, to join this end with the strap.
-pass another end of the strap through another
round ring, fold it and sew it.

Sew together two side corners from the opening

of the bag with the ring inside.
Sew another 2 corners with the 2nd round ring
inside.
Buttonhole loop: Attach the 2 strands of yarn held together in the middle of the opening
at the back part and crochet a 6” chain loop and slip stitch in the same initial point, to form
a loop.
Sew the button on the front part.
FINISHING: Fasten off and weave in all ends.

*If you want block this bag, I suggest you to cut a piece of
cardboard of the shape and size of the bag and insert the
cardboard into the bag.
Spray both sides with Spray Starch, suspend the bag and allow it
to dry completely.

Matériaux:
- environ 360-410m de fil bulky et le crochet approprié pour le fil choisi
- ma suggestion: pour que vos mailles restent compactes, utilisez un crochet d’une taille inférieure à
celle requise. Cela aidera à garder votre sac ferme et à minimiser les écarts entre les mailles, ce qui
donnera une surface plus lisse.
-un buton et 2 anneaux ronds de 35-40mm.
Taille: -avec le même patron vous pouvez obtenir différentes tailles, en utilisant un fil d’une grosseur
différente et le crochet approprié.
Mon sac a 25/35cm, avec un fil bulky- volumineux (Bernat Maker Fashion) et crochet K/10.5 -6.5mm

Légende:
ml(s)=maille(s)
MS=maille serrée / DB=demi bride / MC= maille coulée
T=tour
ch=chacune / suiv=suivant(e)
End/Env= à l’Endroit / à l’Envers du travail
Notes :-Tous les Tours sont faites 👉 à l’envers du travail( l’envers face à vous).
- Commencez avec un carré à la base, puis formez le motif en chevron qui monte.
-Terminer chaque tour par 1MC

Pour vous aider à lire ce patron, par exemple:

- DB signifie DB dans la maille suivante
- Les parenthèses droites []x nombre sont utilisés pour vous dire combien de fois travailler l’étape qui
est a l’intérieur de [] . Le nombre qui suit immédiatement les []x indique le nombre de fois que vous
devez effectuer l'étape.

Diminution de 4mailles au centre du chaque côté:

1 jeté et insérer le crochet dans la 2e ml devant la ml centrale et tirer une boucle (3 boucles sur
crochet)
2e ml devant
la ml centrale

Sauter la ml qui précède la ml centrale,

insérer le crochet dans la maille centrale et tirer une boucle (4

boucles au crochet)

sauter la ml suivant à la ml centrale

insérer le crochet dans la deuxième ml après la ml centrale et tracer

une boucle (5 boucles au crochet)
1 jeté et tirer le fil à travers toutes les 5 boucles sur le crochet: la Diminution de 4mls est faite
Ainsi, au lieu des 5mls, il vous reste seulement 1ml.
Cette ml sera le point
central du prochain rang.

Ne pas confondre la ml centrale avec cet espace

***Le cercle magic (magic loop)***
- est utilisé pour commencer un projet de crochet travaillé en rond et produit un petit trou
soigneusement fermé au centre du premier tour. Cette méthode peut être utilisée pour
commencer les chapeaux, les napperons et d'autres projets travaillés en rond.

Enroulez le fil autour de l'index de votre main gauche:

Tenir le crochet dans votre main droite, insérer le crochet

sous les deux boucles de fil et accrocher le fil venant du
skein ou de la balle,

Passer la boucle en dessous les deux boucles de fil et la ramener au travers :

Faire 1 jeté et le tirer à

travers la boucle sur le
crochet.

Maintenant, vous avez une Chaîne-1.

À partir de maintenant, votre

modèle vous indiquera le
nombre mailles à faire (BS, MS)
en piquent dans rond (dans
cercle).

Terminer par une maille coulée

dans la première maille et en
tirant l'extrémité du fil (queue
de fil) pour fermer le cercle.

Maintenant on commence!

Débuter par un cercle magique puis dans cercle faire:
Tour1: 3 mls en l’air (Considerer les 3 mls en l'air
comme la 1ere DB et 1 ml dans l’air),
[3DB, 1 ml en l'air]x3fois,
terminer par 1MC dans la 1ere DB

Tour 3: [dans l’espace de 1ml dans l’air: (2DB, 1ml en l’air,2DB), DB dans chaque ml

N'oubliez pas la 1ere ml après l'espace 1 ml dans l’air

Répétez les Tours 3-4 jusqu'à atteindre 25cm ou la longueur souhaitée pour la base. Vous
travaillerez les coins de la même manière. Rappelez-vous
- à chaque Tour3, travaillez dans le coin (2DB, ch1, 2DB)
-terminer par 1MC dans la 1ere DB, MC dans la DB suivante
-à chaque Tour 4, travaillez dans le coin (DB, ch1, DB)
-terminer par 1MC dans la 2e ml de 2mls dans l’air
Le dernier Tour doit etre le Tour 3
Lorsque vous obtenez un carré de 25x25cm ou de la mesure souhaitée, ne pas couper le fil
continuer avec les côtés du sac.

Les côtés
-en comptant à partir des 2 coins, placez un marqueur de point au
centre du côté, répétez cette opération pour les 4 côtés.

Tour5( les côtés du sac): MC autour de l’arceau du coin,

dans le même coin: ( 2 mls dans l’air, DB , 2 mls dans l’air, 2DB),

DB dans chaque DB jusqu'à 2 mls avant le

marqueur central
N'oubliez pas la 1ere ml après l'espace 1 ml dans l’air

Diminuer 4mls des 5 mls suivantes,

-voir le photo tutoriel a la page 10.
Cette ml sera le point central
du prochain rang.
continuer avec [DB dans chaque DB jusqu’au prochain coin,
dans le coin: (2DB, 2mls dans l’air, 2DB), DB dans chaque DB
jusqu'à 2 mls avant le marqueur central, Diminuer 4mls des 5 mls suivantes] x3
DB dans chaque DB jusqu’au prochain coin, rejoindre avec une MC dans la première DB
pour fermer

Finir le tour par une MC dans la DB suivante

Continuez à répéter le Round5 (toujours a l’end)jusqu'à la hauteur souhaitée, ne coupez pas
le fil.

- ajoutez le deuxième fil, faire 1 ml dans l’air

-Tournez le sac avec l’endroit face à vous,

-avec le fil en double faire une bordure en MS dans chaque ml, autour de l’ouverture du sac.
Finir la bordure en faisant
1MC dans la premiere MS

Couper le fil an laissant une

longueur de 30cm.

Placez le sac à plat devant vous, positionnez le coin du milieu de manière à ce que celui-ci
soit positionne vertical, en forme de triangle. Plier le coin du milieu sur la base et joindre-le
avec une couture à la base.

Répétez pour l'autre coin.

La Bandoulière :
-avec 2 fils ensemble, faire une chaînette de 75cm de long ou de la longueur désirée.
Crocheter en DB dans chaque ml jusqu’à la fin de la chaînette,
-3DB dans le dernier ml- (vous avez arrondi le coin)
-Maintenant, tournez pour travailler dans la boucle opposée de la chaînette, le long du dos
de la chaîne: DB dans chaque ml de la chaînette, terminer par 2 DB dans la première ml de
la chainette crochetée au début du tour. Couper le fil en laissant une longueur de 40cm.

Passez l’extrémité de la bandoulière à travers un

anneau, pliez-la et cousez-la pour joindre
l'extrémité à la bandoulière.
Répétez pour l’autre extrémité.

Coudre ensemble les deux coins latéraux, en

mettant l’anneau à l’intérieur :

Coudre les autres 2 coins avec l’autre anneau à l'intérieur.

Bride de boutonnage : attachez le fil au milieu de l'ouverture de la partie arrière et faites

une chaînette de mls dans l’air de 12cm, faire 1 MC dans la ml initiale, pour former une
boucle.
Coudre le bouton sur la partie avant.

FINITION: Couper le fil. Rentrer les extrémités.

*Je vous suggère de bloquer ce sac pour aider les courbes à bien
apparaitre: découpez un morceau de carton rigide de la forme et de
la taille du sac et insérez le carton dans le sac.
Pulvériser les deux côtés du sac avec Spray Starch, suspendre le
sac et le laisser sécher complètement.
