HOW TO CONFIGURATE VSAT MODEM,

VOIP, PABX & MIKROTIK ROUTERS

1. Vsat DS8 Network Topology
Definition of Vsat

VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) is a signal receiving station from a

satellite with a dish-shaped receiving antenna with a diameter of less than
three meters. The main function of VSAT is to receive and send data to
satellites. The satellite functions as a successor to the signal to be sent to
other points on earth. Actually the VSAT dish faces a geostationary satellite.
Geostationary satellites are satellites that are always in the same place in
line with the rotation of the earth on its axis which is possible because it
orbits at the same point above the earth's surface and follows the earth's
rotation on its axis.

VSAT stands for Very Small Aperture Terminal, originally a trademark for a small
earth station that was marketed around 1980 by Telecom General in America. In
its free translation, VSAT can be interpreted as a transmitter and receiver of
satellite transmission terminals that are scattered in many locations and are
connected to the central hub via satellites using certain diameter satellite
dishes.

VSAT is one of the advances in the trend to reduce the size of the ground
segment (earth station) in satellite communications. VSAT is located at the end
of the satellite communication line where it offers a variety of communication
services. VSAT is a small station with a diameter of no more than 2.4 meters.
With an antenna size that can be said to be relatively small, making the Ku
Band frequency band very popular for most applications VSAT.
Vsat Antenna Installation & Pointing
Procedure
1. Attach the antenna head section to the back of the VSAT antenna, after
we attach it then we tighten it with the bolts provided.
2. After mounting the antenna head, then lift the antenna to the pole that
has been made or installed first.
3. Attach the LNB and BUC support poles that are on the left and right
sides of the antenna, then bolt tightly so that they are installed
properly.
4. Attach the LNB and BUC to the center stand and attach the two other
supports to the BNC and LNB. Tighten it using a bolt. After that,
attach the coaxial cable to the LNB. Then tighten it
5. Attach the coaxial cable to the modem that reads RF IN.
6. Attach the power cable and LAN cable to the laptop.
7. Now everything is installed properly, Next step we configure
pointing.
CONFIGURATION OF IP & POINTING MODEMS

Click Start> Control Panel> Network and Internet> Network and Sharing Center>
Change Adapter Settings> right-click Local area connection> then select
settings> then double-click Internet Protocol version 4 TCP / Ipv4
select obtain an IP address automatically, then enter the IP address and
Default gateway> select obtain DNS server address automatically, then enter
DNS
192.168.1.1
After that enter the browser, then type in the Default IP address bar:
192.168.1.1 Then press enter.
then fill all the parameter fields with the given configuration, after that
it will appear like this, our next step is pointing.
ANTENNA POINTING

We determine the elevation angle (top down) using an inclinometer and

determine the azimuth angle (left right) according to the satellite's
position.
after the pointing is successful then you will get Rx and Tx signals like
this.

How to Setup Panasonic KX-TES824 KX-T7730

PABX or Private Automatic Branch eXchange / Pbx is a telephone communication

connection device located on the customer's side, for example in office
buildings that require a telephone line branching unit. How to Set Up PABX
Panasonic KX-TES824 KX-T7730. Generally PABX devices are connected to public
telecommunications service providers.
The size or parameter of PABX in the capacity of the number of telkom lines
connected to PABX and the number of Extension (branches). Starting with the
capacity of units, tens, hundreds or thousands of extensions.

At present, PABX has applied the Internet Protocol (IP) technology so it is

called IP PBX. Previously I did not pay much attention to PABX until in the
end I had to update Welcome Greeting on PABX Panasonic TES824. The way to
change the welcome greeting at PABX is to use the KX-T7730 digital telephone
installed in channel 1 (usually 101):
