k. Wind Tunnel Testing review and approval of steel and reinforced concrete tall buildings and steel arches.
l. As a team leader in over 30 years of working experience being also Consultant at international level on huge mega
projects and changing companies after successfully completing the projects, I had very different typology of
organisational and managerial schemes:
1.1. As Construction Manager in Libya (Rabta) while working for GP Bosna I had at disposal around 40 workers divided
in functional/skilled groups and per skill categories with the best skill workers having 9th category, plus the
technical staff which was helping me plus Libyan drivers on heavy vehicles and Concrete Mix trucks.
Page 3 | [email protected]
1.2. Similarly, while working in Germany (Zwickau and Glachau) for small Italian company Sesto Angelo in 1996-98 for
big German Company Baresel, I had around 30 workers plus foreman divided into reinforced concrete group and
carpenter assemblers within system “Just in time” combining cast in situ ad precast assembly works at residential
construction composed of 4 medium tall buildings with garages at lower levels.
1.3. Like a Senior Consultant, covering sometimes 8 to 10 different sites contemporaneously, like in case of UAE
Northern Project when construction of 8 substations had to start at same time, or in Riyadh where I had 10
different projects around and inside urban Riyadh area, I had at each site one junior or middle carrier engineer
plus inspectors and surveyors at disposal to organize whole supervision of construction after I have reviewed and
approved all project documentation starting from soil investigation reports and soil testing result , following the
review of structural analysis of foundations, following further the FEM modelling of main building including all
the structural elements (often more than 2000 documents per site) up to the roof and façade work approval and
cable routs fixing (for energy projects) or slab detailing and refurbishing (when existing buildings were up grated)
so that designed equipment can fit or be delivered in time. All that time I was often in charge not only for
coordination for multidiscipline works and MEP engineers, but often had a function of architect to verify if all
needed space is available as per international codes and local authorities’ specifications.
1.4. Also, I was giving and verifying if HSE engineer has done all necessary to ensure safety in all sites and I was
personally approving the HSE program and all risk assessment schedules for all site activities.
1.5. So as a Consultant in Riyadh I was Managing the group composed of two expert engineers supervising the
construction contemporaneously of 4 precast prestressed bridges in the same time in Riyadh and for each site
there was one junior engineer plus inspector to supervise executive drawings construction phase and surveyor to
supervise the geometry for all 4 bridges, which was very dense working schedule to allow all works to be done in
time as per specification and within tolerance limits. The second group of young engineers was dedicated to the
supervision of reinforced concrete works on the buildings and foundations of steel structure of tense
membranes and steel works supervision. The third group was following the road works and accessory structures
near the roads like water tanks, light poles and street communication boards. So counting all group of young
engineers, inspectors and surveyors there were between 20 and 30 technical stiff under my management and
coordination in Riyadh and 18-25 in Northern Emirates.
1.6. In my Senior Structural Designer roles, the number of technical staff members on my disposal was limited
between minimum 2-4 up to maximum 7-10 members between the young engineers, architects, mechanical
engineers and draftsmen. The number of the personnel sometimes depends of organisational scheme that I
found in the company and sometimes I could have influenced and have improved the organisational chart.
