ABSTRACT
The plasti-electric power is aimed at reducing high cost of power and power black out. It also makes use of locally
available plastic waste in towns and rural areas. The project has a light source(bulb) connectedttery (source of power).
It minimizes the use of electricity. It uses the conversion of kinetic energy to electrical energy. This energy is stored in
the battery and used up during the night.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We would like to acknowledge God for giving us this chance to be alive today. Secondly to our parents and also our
teachers who assisted us and also guided us in the preparation of this fair. Also our classmates for the moral support.
May god bless them all.

CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION
Electricity ia a means of power used for lighting and for other uses. Our project utilizes the use of conversion of
kinetic energy. Electricity has been used dating back to very many years. This project uses the conversion of kinetic
energy and chemical energy into heat and light energy.
When it was raining in our village there was a woman carrying a child and many luggages and there was noelectricity,
she suddenly fell into a hole and fractured her leg. This made us to think about a way of reducing these kinds of
accidents due to lack of proper electrical lighting.
OBJECTIVES
1. To minimize power black outs
2. To reduce cost of paying electrical bills
3. Save money
RELEVANCE/SIGNIFICANCE
1. It makes use of locally available resources
2. Eliminates plastic waste
3. A cheap source of power
4. Does not pollute the environment
LIMITATIONS
1. It cannot be used to run heavy machinery. (cannot be used in industries

CHAPTER TWO
LITERATURE REVIEW
The first inventionof electricity was introduced by Micheal Farady, Electricity is power
supplied by electrically charged electrons transmitted through cables. In more recent times,
geothermal geysers or hot springs and bio gas from waste have been harnessed for the
supply of electricity.

CHAPTER THREE
METHODOLOGY
APPARATUS
i. Connecting wires
ii. 2 Electrostatic precipitators
iii. 2 batteries
iv. 1, 20W bulb
v. 2 generators
vi. 2 dynamos
vii. Metallic trough
viii. Black paint
ix. Manila papers, office glue,stapler
PROCEDURE
1. Gather plastic waste spread them under the sun to dry the
moisture present
2. Put the plastic waste in the precipitator and ignite them.
3. Wait for about an hour and remove the lid from steam jet.
4. Let the turbine rotate for about 10minutes.
5. Connect the dynamo to the generato and then connect the
battery, wait until the battery is fully charged
OBSERVATIONS
When connected the bulb lights for 10hours if the battery is
fully charged.

CHAPTER FOUR
DATA ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION
We went to the various houses and these were the results
obtained.
data interpretation
accepted
rejected
undecided
As seen from the data obtained 3/5 of people agreed that the project is good. This
encouraging our project into areal system of operation. On the other hand 3/10 of the people challenged us to work
harder on the project and try to make it more effective to everyone.
8
CHAPTER FIVE
Conclusion
This method of producing electricity using plastic waste is efficient since it is not
costly.
Recommendation
We would wish to do further research on this project and make it perfect with
the help of the government and our school.
