GRADE LEVEL: 2 (MEDIUM EASY) young band Ser_es A Christmas Canon Pachelbel Canon / The First Noel Arranged by Michael Green ve always found it exciting when two melodies fit well together and are played simultaneously. Such is the «ase with these two great classics, Pachelbel’s Canon in D and The First Noel. Although written in different time signatures, their harmonic basis is similar, making it easy to play one over the other. Since the’ Canon has many variations I decided to put this arrangement in time like the Fist Noel. Each melody is stated individually and asthe piece moves along, the two are eventually played together. Care must be taken so that one melody doess\t overshadow the other, and thatthe tempo remains at a comfortable speed. Have fun!
