I am writing to express my interest, in joining the Medical Life Sciences program at the
University of Kiel. During my Biotechnology degree at the University of Central Punjab, I
gained a foundation in biology with significant CGPA and practical skills like cloning, PCR,
gel electrophoresis, and DNA isolation. As a Research Assistant, I gained hands-on
experience in gene isolation, cloning, overexpression in E. coli, and purification, for the
treatment of cancer.
The focus on Oncology within the Medical Life Sciences program at the University of Kiel
perfectly aligns with my research interests and academic goals. I am excited about
contributing to cutting-edge advancements in cancer research and the comprehensive
curriculum that includes modules like "Oncology I" and "Practical Oncology I" will
undoubtedly deepen my understanding of cancer biology, therapeutics, and research
methodologies.
What makes the University of Kiel stand out for me is its emphasis on research training
across all areas of focus and electives. Through participation in international conferences
like the "International Conference on Trends and Challenges in Health Sciences,” I have
acquired skills that can contribute to breakthroughs in cancer research, particularly in
computational analysis and reverse vaccinology. While academics painted one side of my
portrait, the shades of extracurricular engagements added depth and dimension. These were
not just accolades or lines on a resume; they were transformative experiences. Achieving
top positions in various competitions, I not only honed my analytical and presentation skills
but also expanded my horizons. Every conference attended, and every discussion
participated in, instilled in me a passion for research.
I am excited, about the University of Kiel because they have connections with research
institutions like the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology and the Kiel Evolution
Center. These affiliations make me confident that this program will offer me opportunities to
be a part of innovative research and collaborations.
Sincerely,
Muhammad Munib
