Dimitri rushed to kill the leader but found Adeline dying instead. In his rage, he killed the leader, but the city was still threatened as Adeline's spying mission had failed.

Within the darks of an alley, a few people gathered around, seemed to be discussing a problem.

‘Dimitri can’t do it, can he?’ a female voice asked.


‘Adeline, you know he can’t,’ another person sighed.
‘I understand, of course I understand Brilliana, but this relates to the matter of our whole city. If Dimitri
couldn’t kill the head of a continuous homicide, this whole city will certainly fall apart,’ the person replied,
who apparently is Adeline.
‘What if… we know their plans?’ Adeline suggested.
‘Well, we could do such thing, except I have work to do, and Dimitri is on task. So maybe you go be the spy,
would you?’ asked Brilliana.
‘No,’ Dimitri suddenly said.

He sounded so dark, and protective.

‘Dimitri. You’re too weak to kill the head, I understand that you love Adeline, but if she doesn’t do anything,
we will be doomed. The head will soon have everyone killed, especially us assassins. Our whole gang will be
struck first,’ warned Brilliana.
‘But the head could have her killed once he found out that she’s the spy, I won’t risk my girlfriend’s life for
this.’ disagreed Dimitri.
‘I can do it…’ whispered Adeline.
‘No you won’t,’ denied Dimitri.
‘Dimitri, would you stop? It’s my job and duty as a part of the gang. If I continue being shut out and not do
any work, what’s the use of being in the gang? It’ll even be better for me to quit,’ protested Adeline.
‘Fine, I’ll allow you to do it, as long as you’re safe,’ said Dimitri as he gave in.

A few days later, after Adeline had sent Dimitri the plans of the head, Dimitri started to work out a plan to
assassinate the head. He knew he had to move fast, since the note Adeline sent to him had mentioned that the
head was starting to get suspicious with her. And eventually, he started. He ran across the street and brought
his silencer with him. He carefully blended in with the crowd of the head’s building, then he sneaked up to the
head’s office. He kicked open the door, just in time to see Adeline falling onto the ground. A gush of blood
came out from her stomach. And instantly, he knew what had happened. The head found out about Adeline
being a spy. Blinded with rage and heartbreak, he grabbed his silencer and pulled the trigger right before the
head could do anything. He then dropped to the floor, holding Adeline’s hand.

‘He didn’t succeed, did he?’ asked Adeline weakly, as her eyes fluttered and closed forever.

Dimitri shook his head. Yet a few days later, he discovered a letter. ‘In the event of my death, continue my
plan,’ he read.
