Dear Madam,
OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT FOR THE POSITION OF [ * ] AT [ * ]
We are now pleased to offer you employment with a commencing basic salary of [ * ] per month with EPF,
Socso and EIS statutory contributions. You will be based at [ * ] (“the Firm”).
The salient terms and conditions governing your employment and service with the Firm are as follows:-
1 COMMENCEMENT OF EMPLOYMENT
2.1 Your duties and responsibilities are primarily on matters relating to [ * ], and other tasks that may
be assigned to you from time to time.
3.1 Depending on the operational requirements of the Firm, your working days and hours will be as
follows:
Monday - : [*]
Friday
Saturday : [*]
Restday : Sunday
3.2 Please note that you may be required to work beyond these working hours because of the demand
of your work and position. The working hour and rest day may be changed from time to time as
determined by the Firm.

4 ANNUAL LEAVE
4.1 Upon confirmation in employment, you are entitled to yearly annual leaves of [ * ] days of each
calender year.
4.2 If you fail to take such leave or any part thereof (on pro-rata basis on number of months of service
provided within that calender year) at the end of the calender year, you shall cease to be entitled
thereto. No carry foreward of such leave is allowed.
4.3 All personal leave, whether paid annual leaves or unpaid leaves must be applied at least [ * ] in
advance and subject to the Firm’s approval.
5 PUBLIC HOLIDAY ( PH )
5.1 You will be entitled to the following Twelve (12) Public Holidays in a year and any additional Public
Holidays as may be announced by the Firm (at its absolute discretion) at your ordinary rate of pay:
a. New Year Day
b. Chinese New Year (2 days)
c. Hari Raya Puasa (2 days)
d. Labour Day
e. Wesak Day

6 COMPASSIONATE LEAVE
6.1 You shall, on producing documentary evidence, be entitled to Compassionate Leave subject to a
maximum of [ * ] per year in the event of the following circumstances:

7 MATERNITY LEAVE
7.1 You are entitled to Sixty (60) consecutive days maternity leave subject to the provision of the
Employment Act 1955.
8 SICK LEAVE
8.1 You are entitled to the following number of sick leaves subject to the production of medical
certificate from the qualified medical institution: -
14 days per year if less than 2 years of service

18 days per year if service is between 2 to 5 years
22 days per year if service is more than 5 years
9 HOSPITALIZATION LEAVE
9.1 You are entitled to sixty (60) days hospitalization leave less any sick leave taken that calender year.
10.1 The Firm at its discretion will be providing increment and/or bonus to you based on your
performance and also on the performance of the Firm.
11 RETIREMENT AGE
11.1 You shall retire from service with the Firm at age of 60 years old. For the purpose of ascertaining
the date, month and year of your retirement, the Firm shall rely upon the date of birth appearing
on the National Registration Identity Card (“NRIC”) or in the absence of NRIC, any other relevant
statutory documents. The Firm may, at its discretion, offer re-employment.
12 TERMINATION NOTICE
12.1 After confirmation of your employment, the notice period for termination of employment shall be
[ * ] written notice by either party or payment of the equivalent of basic salary of [ * ] in lieu of such
notice.
12.2 However, the above said period of notice or quantum of indemnity in lieu of notice may be reduced
or waived, only by mutual agreement between yourself and the Firm.
12.3 Upon termination of your employment for whatsoever reasons, you must at once deliver to the
Firm all books, documents, effects, money or other property belonging to the Firm which are in
your possession, charge, control or custody
13 TERMINATION CAUSE
13.1 Notwithstanding anything to the contrary hereinbefore stated, the Firm may at its sole discretion
without due notice or payment in lieu of such notice terminate the contract of employment
summarily upon (but not limited to) the happening of any of the following events:
a. If you constantly display a performance that is below the acceptable level.
b. If you shall enter into any arrangements or composition with your creditors.
c. If you shall at any time be declared bankrupt during your employment.
d. If you shall be guilty of any misconduct inconsistent with the expressed and/or implied
conditions of service or wilful neglect of duties.
e. If you are addicted to any habit which renders it unsafe or unwise for the Firm to continue to
employ you.

14 NON-DISCLOSURE OF CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION AND TRADE SECRETS
14.1 Without the prior consent of the Firm or except as authorised or required in the course of the
performance of your duties, you shall not disclose, reveal or make available, directly or indirectly
to third parties any confidential operations, processes and dealings, any trade secrets or any
information concerning the business, finances, transactions or affairs of the Firm, which may come
to your knowledge during your employment with the Firm and you shall keep with complete
secrecy all confidential information and matters entrusted to you and shall not use or attempt to
use any such information in any manner which may injure or cause loss either directly or indirectly
to the firm or its business or may be likely so to do.
14.2 This restriction shall continue to apply after your cessation of employment with the Firm without
limit in point of time but shall cease to apply to information or knowledge which may come into
public domain.
14.3 Upon cessation of your employment with the Firm, you shall turn over to the Firm, all documents,
data or other requisites, confidential or otherwise, obtained or made by you during the course of
your employment with the Firm, pertaining to the business of the Firm
15 CONFLICT OF INTEREST
15.1 Without the prior written consent of the Firm, you shall not indulge, engage or interest yourself
either directly or indirectly, whether for reward or gratuitously in any work, investment or business
other than in the course of the performance of your duties.
16.1 Pursuant to Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”), the Firm requires all employees to
comply with the Firm’s PDPA policy in relation to the information about other staff. Failure to do
so will be regarded as serious misconduct and will be dealt with in accordance with the Firm’s
disciplinary policy and procedure. The Firm’s PDPA policy is detailed in the attached Appendix 1.
17.1 Your other terms and conditions of employment and service will be governed by the Firm's policies
and practices or amendments thereto as appropriate from time to time. Please refer to the Partner
of the Firm, should you require further clarifications on such policies and practices.
17.2 Your employment is also subject to your compliance with any conditions of employment and
service or the Firm's rules, regulations and practices, written, expressed or implied, for the time
being in force.
17.3 You will be required to carry out such related duties and job functions as instructed from time to
time by the Firm or persons acting on behalf of the Firm.
Kindly signify your acceptance or otherwise of this Offer of Employment by completing the
"Acknowledgement" portion on the duplicate copy of this letter and return the duplicate copy, duly

completed and signed, to the undersigned immediately. This agreement shall thereby constitute your
contract of service with the Firm. Please take note that this offer will be valid only for [ * ] from the date of
this letter. If we do not hear from you within this period, this offer will be deemed to be cancelled and we
are not obliged to hold the position open for you.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Appendix 1
Subject: Authorization and Disclosure
1. [ * ] (“the Firm”), places great importance in keeping up with legal and regulatory changes. In
view of the Firm is required to be in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010
effective from 15th February 2014, we are taking steps to ensure compliance. This letter gives
details about the type of information that the Firm keeps about its employees and the purposes
for which the Firm keeps them.
2. Please be informed that your personal information is being processed by the Firm for the
following purposes (“Purpose”):-
a. Information gathered about an employee and any references obtained during recruitment
b. Details of terms of employment
c. Income Tax, EPF & SOCSO
d. Performance information
e. Details of grade and job duties
f. Health records
g. Absence records, including holiday records and Medical Certificate
h. Details of any disciplinary investigations and proceedings
i. Training records
j. Contact names, addresses and phone numbers
k. Correspondence with the Merchantrade and other information provided to the Merchantrade.
l. Relevant third parties including government and state authorities enforcement agencies etc.
m. The Firm believes the above-stated uses are consistent with our employment relationship and
with the principles of the Personal Data Protection Act (“PDPA”).
3. The information held will be for the Firm’s management and administrative use only, but
from time to time, we may need to disclose such information we hold about the employee to
relevant third parties. Therefore, the Firm requires all employees to comply with the Firm
PDPA Compliance Policy in relation to the information about other staff. Failure to do so
will be regarded as serious misconduct and will be dealt with in accordance with the Firm's
disciplinary policy and procedure.
All employees are reminded not to disclose any personal information of our clients without approval of the
Firm.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
