presented under the headings listed here: (Approximately 50 words)

This section provides an opportunity for you to explain

how you will reflect on and evaluate your work, as both
an ongoing activity and at the conclusion of the
project.

You should describe how you intend to record

your decision-making and how you will document
changes to your ideas as the project
progresses. The evaluation section should
reference your stated aims and
be reflective and analytical rather than a
description of actions completed.

When working in collaboration with others, you

should comment on how this may impact
either positively or adversely and outline the
steps you can take to minimise disruption to your own
progress.

Project action plan and timetable:

This section provides you with an opportunity to

outline your planning and organisation over a
period of weeks and the activities you will need to
carry out in order to successfully complete
your project in the agreed time frame. The more
time and thought you give to
planning your project, the more successful it is
likely to be.

It is important that you consider how you will

balance ambition, time and realism in the
realisation of the project. You should also include
what you are going to do, how you will do it
and by when. Remember to include: time spent
sourcing materials and other resources to conduct
research, feedback from tutors and peers, and
when you will carry out independent study.

Bibliography (Harvard Format):

This section provides an opportunity to record the

initial research sources, both primary and
secondary, that you intend to use.

Your sources of research should be as wide

as possible and could include libraries,
galleries, books, magazines, films, computer games,
websites, blogs, social media, radio
programmes, archive material etc. Where
appropriate, you should use the Harvard
system of referencing. The bibliography should be
continuously updated as the
project progresses.

Project Title
Social Media App and Branding Design

Section 1: Rationale Throughout all the earlier seven units we’ve been assigned to work on, I believe that I’ve remained persistent in
(approx. 100 words) delivering high-quality pieces of work and withholding myself to a high standard, including both the
documentation (research, progress, etc.) and within the final pieces themselves. When looking back on the first
units I’ve completed in this course, I do thoroughly believe that my aim towards improving my vocabulary, quality-
of-work and skills is evidently recorded. During this course, I’ve developed a wide skillset of new techniques and
knowledge in subjects such as the principles and guidelines of design, the use of software like Adobe Photoshop
and Illustrator, and my methods of conducting research, both Primary and Secondary. I would consider that I
specialize in a few skillsets, primarily with Design, UX / UI Design, and gathering insightful information and data.
One of my long-term aspirations is to attend university to further study a subject within the Graphic Design space,
and then work in a similar career, whether that be freelance or working alongside a Design Agency. Hopefully,
with the project ahead, I can prepare myself by familiarizing myself with working to a professional high standard
for an important client.

Section 2: Project
Concept For my Final Project, I’ve come to the decision that I want to produce an entirely new social media app design
(approx. 200 words) called Looped. I thoroughly believe that this is a unique and exciting idea that is appropriate to today, as current
events place competitor app TikTok facing a ban in the USA. Because of this, it’s inspired me to create a concept
for a rival app that utilizes similar features and ideas but innovates in gesture control. My target audience for this
project varies across a wide spectrum of individuals, but I am primarily focusing my work to appeal to teenagers
and young adults, as they are the majority users of all Social Media platforms. I intend on completing this project
by completely producing a new brand identity utilizing the name Looped, a complete compilation of wireframes for
an entire app interface, and then a fully comprehensive final digital iteration. I will be heavily focused on working
digitally with software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and a new platform, Figma. I won’t be as often
working with physical design techniques. The total outcome for this project should involve a fully detailed and
complete app where every page, from sign-up to the feed, will be made. Additional elements for this project
involve a new logo, social media post templates, a website one-page concept, and a collection of miscellaneous
components such as optional merchandise, etcetera that will help me showcase my new designs.

Unit 8 Project Proposal
Section 3: Evaluation Throughout this project, I’ll regularly evaluate my progress to examine where I am. I’ll do this by conducting
(approx. 50 words) weekly reflections, where every Friday I’ll review the progress, I have made and analyze what’s been successful,
what needs to be done, and what needs improving upon. This will help me accomplish all the project’s criteria.
Another way I’ll be assessing my progress is to undergo regular teacher 1-1s where I’ll ask my tutor to provide me
with feedback about the work I’m producing and to share their thoughts on what I can do to improve the overall
quality of my work.
At the end of this project, I’ll evaluate whether the projects been a success by conducting both peer feedback and
teacher feedback as they are core individuals, I’m trying to target with this rebrand. The majority opinion that I’ll
receive will allow me to indicate whether the rebranding proposal is well-received.
