In IELTS Speaking Part 3, you will be asked general discussion questions related to the topic from

Part 2.

TASK 1 Look at the common types of questions you may be asked. Match each of the general
discussion questions (on the left) with what the question asks you to do (on the right).

TASK 2 Read the IELTS Speaking Part 3 questions and listen to the student’s answers. Then

TASK 5 Read the conversation from IELTS Speaking Part 3 and complete the student’s

answers. Use the words in the box. Then watch the video and check your answers.

Examiner: Do you think that playing sports is less important now than in the past?
