Software Programming Set-up.

 Install software Renesas Flash Development Toolkit. Open file name ‘fdt3 04’ on
the CD-ROM drive

 Open FDT 3.4 Basic program only.


 Select Device- H8S/2633F press ‘Next’.
 Select port- Whatever the default communication port you desired press ‘Next’
.
 Device setting – Enter the CPU crystal frequency to 12.2880 MHz
Select the multiplier for the Main to 1
Press ‘Next’
 Connection type- Select connection BOOT Mode
Recommended Speed 38400 (do not use default leave blank)
Press ‘Next’
 Programming Options- Protection Automatic
Messaging Advanced
Press ‘Finish’
Programming Mother Board.

 Turn “OFF” the dispenser power.


 Connect Programmer Hardness wire J21 to connecter J21 on the motherboard.
 Connect serial cable of programmer to computer.
 Set S1 Dipswitch on the motherboard to 1 & 3 “ON”.
 Remove the 3Amp fuse from meter fuse holder before power up.
 Power “ON” dispenser, load up FDT 3.4 Basic program.
 Put a check mark on User Area box.
 Click on Browse tab to select a file to download.
 Click Program Flash.
 Wait for confirmation from the software to know process is finished.
 Turn “OFF” the dispenser power.
 Set Dipswitch back to original setting.
 Apply power “ON” the dispenser make sure both 7Amp and 3Amp fuses are on.

Dispenser Quick Start Programmable Modes

Once you flash the program, important modes that you need to change during
installation, using the keypad, and the mode will toggle.

To operate dispenser enter any of the 2-digit modes key by pressing ‘Mode’ key. The
Display LCD will prompt you to “SELEct’ ‘SidE’

Press either ‘Side 1’ or ‘Side 2’ of dispenser hose. Some modes are used for both sides
some for individual sides of the dispenser hose depending on what you are changing, if
the mode you are changing is a common universal mode for the dispenser and not an
individual mode for each side of the dispenser hose always press ‘Side 1’ (universal
does side 1 and side 2 setup)
The dispenser will prompted you to the mode you need to change; the LCD will display
the digits you are punching in on the mass LCD. The digits will shift right every time
you press a key. To confirm a value number you have punched in press the ‘Enter’ key

In some cases you may get additional prompts on the LCD panel simply follow the
instruction on the screen and you will be able to get the mode changes implemented

Programmable Modes

A number of modes are available on the computer, which are field programmable.
Always contact factory to find out which modes are active in your version of the
software.

Mode 56 – Check what software is on motherboard.

Press Mode 56, press ‘Enter’


Select side, 1

Mode 24 - To set a single or dual hose CNG dispenser. Position (2) single (4) dual.
Select ‘Side 1’ (universal does 1 and side 2 setup).

Press Mode 24, press ‘Enter’


Select side, 1
Position, 4

Mode 60 - Makes the unit a CNG50 modbus counter. The Returns value on mass LCD
display xxxx.02.

Press Mode 60, press ‘Enter’


Select side, 1

Mode 78 – Delay after stop button is press for which dispenser updates screen), Select
side 1 (universal for both sides) Enter second 06 (equals 3 seconds figure is half second
increment ex. 07=3.5 seconds) and press Enter. The Return value on mass LCD display
is 2. If it returns a value of 1(off) redo and it will return 2 (0n)

Press Mode 78, press ‘Enter’

Mode 40 – Price Change select individual side ‘1’ for hose one & ‘2’ for hose two.
Keypad the value of price you wish to change. The LCD will display the digits you are
punching in on the price LCD. The digits will shift right every time you press a key. To
confirm a value number you have punched in press ‘Enter’ key

Press Mode 40, press ‘Enter’


Select Side, 1
Totals – To see inventory Totals from both dispenser hoses press once the ‘ S’ key on
the key pad to see the totalizer reading.

Mode 67- Active CNG50 Inventory Mass from Meters and displayed like regular
totals. Press ‘S’ key on the keypad twice.

Press Mode 67, press ‘Enter’


Select side, 1
Press ‘S’ twice on the keypad.

Mode 63 – Zero a Micro Motion Meter for flow rate.

Press mode 63, press ‘Enter’


Select side 1
Press, Enter (wait 20 sec for the meter to zero down)
