ZIMBABWE CHALLENGES:

SOLUTIONS-ACTIONS:
1. We are developing climate-resilient agricultural practices and water management
techniques.
2. Strengthening early warning systems and disaster preparedness to mitigate the
impacts of extreme weather events and collaborating with the international youth
generation to bring new ideas and actions to tackle this climate issue.

EGYPT CHALLENGES:
1. The loss and damage fund
SOLUTIONS: (COP27 highlights the mentioned loss and damage fund and the
parties are going to see how we can finance it. So, in COP28 we pledge the financing
for the loss and damage fund as it is a piece of big news still in 2024).
2. Another aspect that is also important for Egypt to mention is the concessional finance
for climate action about country platforms and that concessional finance needs to be
available as well as accessible.
SOLUTIONS: We think that designing an action on how to tackle this climate change
and see it from the finance perspective would give a whole lot of discussion and open
up another insight around climate finance as well. So, Egypt takes full use of this
forum to advocate increased financial support from developed countries to help fund
adaptation and mitigation projects and fulfill their climate finance commitments.
