Objective: Students will acquire foundational knowledge of basic computer operations, including
understanding computer components, using input devices, and navigating simple software.

 Identify and explain the main components, such as monitor, keyboard, mouse, CPU, and speakers.

2. Basic Computer Operations (10 minutes):

 Discuss fundamental computer operations, including turning the computer on and off, using the
mouse and keyboard, and understanding the desktop.
 Demonstrate simple actions like clicking, double-clicking, dragging, and right-clicking.

Hands-on Activity (15 minutes):

 Allow students to practice basic operations on their computers or shared devices.


 Guide them through simple tasks like opening and closing programs, navigating menus, and
practicing mouse and keyboard skills.
 Circulate around the class to offer assistance and ensure understanding.

Closure (5 minutes):
 Summarize key concepts covered in the lesson.
 Emphasize the importance of responsible computer use, including taking care of equipment and
following instructions.
 Assign a small homework task, such as drawing a picture of a computer and labeling its parts.

Assessment:

 Informal assessment through observation during the hands-on activity.
