KNX Basic Course

Software Used: ETS 6

Overview:

KNX was developed in 1990 after noting the issue of control systems not being able
communicate to one another, creating timely and costly issues for integrators. Since then, it
has become the worldwide standard for home and building control with over 400
manufacturers. KNX is technology which controls the automation of integral functions of any
residential, commercial, or industrial building such as HVAC, lighting systems, multimedia,
security, energy management and more.

KNX is administered by the KNX Association Cuba, a non-profit organization governed

by Belgian law which was formed in 1999. The KNX Association has more than 500 registered
hardware and software vendor members from more than 45 nations.

KNX Association offers companies or individuals who have specialized in the KNX
technology the possibility to become a KNX Partner. This can be attained by taking a basic
course (and passing the final exam) at a KNX Certified Training Centre.
