Give Sight To The Endless Light - "Tea." I Just Came Out On My Mind, When Sarah Handed To Me The Hot Teacup. I Don't Realized
AN ENDLESS SUMMER OF JUNE. I almost don’t notice the letter written on my coffee cup
when I put it right on the windshield. It was right on the table, while I’m reading book “Looking
for Alaska”. And when I am holding it, at least a chance noticing it, but I don’t get bothered.
“nice cup, who wrote that?” Jacob said, when he notice me staring the cup right very tight.
---give sight to the endless light---
“tea.” I just came out on my mind, when Sarah handed to me the hot teacup. I don’t realized,
that I am sitting on the couch while Jacob on the other side playing Ely’s dog.
THANKS. An only word that came out in my mouth, smiling to Sarah who wear her black dress.
She smells white roses, and see those on the vase top of the table.
“Kit, can I talk to you in private.” Sarah said in her tired voice, she’s crying the whole morning.
She walk upstairs on the old-mat staircase. Ely’s room is on the left wing from the stairs. Sarah
emptied his room. A white envelope is right on the bed foot-rest. Sarah handed it to me. She
found it while cleaning Ely’s bedside table, clipped on his art book.
Ely was leaning on this bed, reading my all-time favorite books, when I opened the door brought
the baked mac, which took me many weeks to achieve the right output. He liked baked-macaroni
with a lot of cheddar cheese on it. That taste lightly salty.
“forgive everything and let them love you.” That was the last thing I have heard from Ely before
I left for work. I don’t knew what he wanted to point out, but I just realized when I got mad with
my mother one time that turns me to really hate her and leave the house at that moment.
I remembered how Sarah scolded us with words, from my first day in this house. Sarah didn’t
realize were hooking up that time. He made me came out, to my family and friends. He help me
also to cope everything, that about coming out won’t affect my job. And he all did that.
“I brought him baked-macaroni, at the cemetery.” I said. We knew, Ely would love that.
She smiled, and tears poured down from her cheeks. Sarah loved his son the most, the way I
loved him.
“I’m leaving for London.” She sobbed, and came close to hug me so tight. She’s sobbing right on
my chest, that tears wet on my button-up white shirt. While, all I can do is to caress her back
trying to calm her down. “my daughter is waiting for me there. They don’t want me to be alone,
always thinking about Ely.” She added, cause her cry so much.
Leo, his dog barked at the doorstep.
Sarah hug him, as it keep licking her around. Leo is the dog, he brought when he was thirteen.
And it grow old as Ely.
Jacob carried Leo, and Sarah handed me all Leo’s stuff.
“We will miss you, Sarah.” I said.
We were at the hallway, hugging for the last time. She’ll be leaving for London tomorrow
morning. She make sure everything are fine, before she will left. And sold the house from where
the memories of ours with Ely are made.
---give sight to the endless light---It is again the letter on the coffee cup bothered me, this time
not in the windshield but on my bedside table.
It is written in a very bad handwriting. But gives meaning to me. Leo is barking laying at the bed
foot rest, staring at me with a very sad face.
“I know you miss, Ely. I miss him too.” I said.

It’s almost suspicious how the coffee shop is empty. I’m just curious on how it looks differently
than with customers coming around every day. With just two people at the end of the corner, a
waiter, and a coffeemaker, set the good pace for the weather right now. A very sad clouds, that
promising to rain in the next few hours, in the middle of summer.
Finally, new stained graffiti inside the shop added good ambiance of the place.
KIT CONNOR AS MY HEARTSTOPPER BF. I read on a waitress’ shirt. She was ashamed
after I notice it.
“I love that shirt.” I said.
She smile. “what is your order sir?” a lovely voice of her.
“same as old.” I said----“anyway, the place look very strange. What happened?”
“Actually, we are close. The place’s under furnishing today.” Even she didn’t point out the close
signage outside the door, I read it backward with my eyes. And that’s very awkward.
I’M SORRY. I said, while she stop me from almost leaving the shop, after knowing it is close. I
again notice the newly stain graffiti on the wall and ceiling. I got stained of paint on my suit.
HOLY CRAP!
The waitress return a glare with a smile, and a coffee cup on the tray. “enjoy your day sir.” She
grin her excited face.
First thing, that I now commonly do, is to check the coffee cup for another handwritten letter.
–its not a single word describe your smile—
The seashells are seem pretty hard, but the maze puzzle in this shop are pretty cool. I gaze
around but found no one, but an alone coffeemaker right on the counter. He’s old to be inspired
by me ‘cause his wearing a visor with my name printed on it. I give him a smile, and he response
with a nod of his eyebrow.
My knowledge of Sherlock Holmes are pretty limited, but I can use it to investigate who wrote
letter every time on my cup.
I approached the old-coffeemaker from the counter, who nodded to me earlier. “Would you mind
if I ask?” I asked.
He glance to me, holding the sugar jar. He is mixing my same old coffee, I order for the last time
before leaving. “People are gone crazy ‘bout you.” He said. He even shared to me about his
younger daughter, who collect posters of me and pasted on the wall of her room.
I nod my excited face. It’s a kilig knowing someone would do that. It’s an appreciation, I could
give to his daughter.
“What do you want to ask, anyway?” Now he capped the cup, and put thank you notes on it,
handed it to me.
I look at the coffee cup, with a usual THANK YOU written on it.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, as I keep on checking the cup by rolling with my point-finger, I see
nothing but the THANK YOU message and the printed logo of the shop with its name, The
Daily Grind Coffee House.
“No, I just want to check if you put sugar.” That just spit on my mouth, I try to lie so he could
not notice me what I am looking for. “Thank you, anyway.”
He smiled.
Again, my Sherlock Holmes skills are suck.
But I still have all the time in the world, to do my investigation. I don’t want to think about it
because it’s a kind of desperate. But knowing the guy behind it, cheered me up. And that is
pretty cool.
It’s a sudden realized, that marketing isn’t bullshit.
When I see some of my new movie posters on the street, when I strolled for three minutes in the
street, which vendors are selling flowers and key chain all around and people are busied with
cars dashing on the road.
It’s my first action movie, and it’s not normal and I look awkward doing some fight scene and
gun fighting. But I’m hoping for all the team, would sell it with good revenue.
I set a good pace on that pictures, except the weather this afternoon. When the sky started to
rumbles and clouds getting darker. My coat are pretty thick enough to cover my body with the
rains.
I dashes away through the tent outside the pantry house, as the rain started to fall. I am standing
across the pedestrian lane, watching people passing by, with their umbrellas and bare head
running back and forth because of the strong rain. The sky continue to rumbles and getting
darker.
There is no voices from a hundreds of people passing across the pedestrian back and forth, but a
rain keeps falling on the cemented road and flip of raindrops atop of the umbrella.
10 minutes passed, and I keep on staring at the people keep on passing across the pedestrian. I
unzipped the coat, and put my hands on both pocket. Wait the traffic lights to turn into green,
and run across the pedestrian.
I would’ve met a different end, but I stop in the middle of the pedestrian. It is like the story I
have read from books, and watch from films. I BUMPED WITH THE GUY IN AN
UMBRELLA. It’s awkward sometimes, but its different feelings I have seen or read. It gives me
a heart robbing emotions. I could hear its beating as it the rain stops and slowly dripping on my
face. As if the world stops its turning, and people freeze at this moment with just both of us
move at usual law of inertia. But the momentum works differently. As he turn himself in, I feel
now how electrocution works when are wet which also an interesting idea in any scriptwriting or
novel writing. His transparent white umbrella differ from the color rainbow of umbrellas.
At the coffee shop, I am shrinking with a consciousness resided on my brain. This guy with a
long black hair up to his shoulder and its tied half way of it, stared to me.
I swum into the depth of my consciousness and said “I’M SORRY”.
But I am not saying it alone, we both said it at the same time in the same momentum.
