FILM PROPERTIES:

Appearance : Clear, glossy


Surface : Slightly tacky
Flexibility : Very good

COMPATIBILITY WITH : Visicryl 8439 is miscible with non ionic & anionic emulsions.
(Polymer Emulsion) However, there is a chance that such mixing may affect the
property of Visicryl 8439.

Pigments & Filler : Visicryl 8439 has good compatibility with pigments.
This can be further increased by incorporating suitable
dispersing agent. Fillers can also be incorporated in the
coating compositions.

Application

FIELD OF APPLICATION : Visicryl 8439 is used for producing elastomeric coatings on


plasters, masonry, concrete etc. which will have good crack
bridging properties with good resilience and durability.

PROCESSING : Coatings are generally made with high speed mixers by dispersing
first fillers, pigments ,wetting agents and auxiliaries. Visicryl 8439
is added at the last let down stage.
- To achieve film formation at lower temperature adequate quantity
of coalescing solvents are to be incorporated.
- For higher viscosity thickeners are recommended to be added
- Suitable defoamer in required quantity is to be added to take care
of foam during processing.
- Biocides need to be included in the formulation to guard against
micro-organism growth.

Safety
General safety precautions such as goggles, gloves, and face shields should be used while handling Visicryl 8439.
MSDS is provided for detailed information.

Industrial Hygiene : Visicryl 8439 is not harmful for the purpose for which it is
Intended and processed. It may irritate skin and mucous membrane on
prolonged contact.

Labeling : Visicryl 8439 is non hazardous and doesn’t contain substances


which have implication for labeling under regulations.

Storage :Visicryl 8439 has a shelf life of 6 months from the date of
manufacture, provided it is stored under shade, away from direct heat
and sunlight and well protected from freezing.

Packing : Bulk in tankers, Flexi, 240/220 Kg HDPE Drums.
