While some argue more should pursue vocational training due to worker shortages, the author believes university is superior. University provides higher education, facilities, and opportunities to gain experience, soft skills, connections, and good jobs that require degrees. Vocational training alone only provides qualifications without the broader benefits of university like understanding majors, internships, academic papers, presentations, and expanding social circles through meeting people from other places. Overall, university study offers more advantages over solely vocational training.

Many people go to university for academic study.

More people should be

encouraged to do vocational training because there is lack of qualified
workers such as electricians and plumbers. To what extent do you agree or
disagree? Give reasons, experiences and examples to support your ideas.

In recent years, there has been growing debate over attending university.
Many people believe that pursuing university for intellectual studies is the greatest
alternative, however, others say that encouraging more people to pursue vocational
training (due to a shortage of qualified employees such as electricians and
plumbers) is a superior option. From my perspective, I strongly believe that people
should attend university for academic studies.
First of all, going to university helps us get a better job with a good diploma.
The reality shows that everyone chooses to go to university because all the
companies require a bachelor degree for their work. Moreover, everyone wants a
good career with a higher salary rather than vocational training which only brings
benefits in terms of tuition and qualifications is not highly appreciated by
businesses. Going to a university will help you gain an in-depth understanding of
the majors related to your future career and have the opportunity to intern at large
companies. For example, if you are a student at university of economics, you can
gain more experience in contact with the market and society.
Another important reason is that university provides a higher level of
education and has all these resources and facilities for people who want to gain
more knowledge and develop their soft skills. For instance, students will learn how
to write a good academic paper or how to present their opinions through public
speaking while they are on campus. Additionally, it will help students to have more
opportunities to get a good job. Nowadays, many companies prefer to hire an
employee who has finished their university degree.
The third reason is that people have more opportunities to add new friends
from other cities or countries and expand their social relationships .For instance ,
people who enter your university may not come from the same city or country
because university is a huge environment. So that it is a significant chance for you
to learn new things from overseas friends or other cultures.
In conclusion, The benefits of Studying at university outweighs vocational
training. more individuals should be encouraged to go to university for different
academic study because people not only get advanced jobs in the future but also
acquire more knowledge, and develop soft skills.
