5. Sensitivity Analysis, CMG software allows for sensitivity analysis, wherein key
parameters such as CO2 injection rate, composition, reservoir permeability, and
temperature can be systematically varied to understand their impact on the
process. This analysis aids in identifying the most influential parameters and
optimizing operational strategies.

6. Performance Monitoring and History Matching: CMG software facilitates the
monitoring of reservoir performance during and after CO2 injection. It enables
the comparison of simulation results with field data through history matching
techniques. This iterative process helps calibrate the model, ensuring that the
simulation accurately represents the observed behavior in the Serir field.
7. The efficiency of CO2 flood is not and should not be linked only to its ability to
extract intermediate components but also to its direct effect on the oil
properties by swelling and reducing oil viscosity, and also to its diffusivity in
water to collect isolated oil droplets, and when miscibility conditions are
favorable then this is an additional advantage of CO2 to other solvents and the
supercriticality of CO2 is the reason for its lower Minimum Miscible Pressure as
compared to other hydrocarbon solvents.
8.Given that carbon dioxide gas causes global warming, and in addition to the
cost of collecting and capturing it, we can enjoy the support of global
environmental protection organizations in Western countries that are interested
in protecting the Earth by reducing damage to the ozone layer, and this helps in
making the cost as low as possible.
10. The simulation allows for the optimization of injection strategies to enhance
oil recovery. Different scenarios, such as varying injection rates, well locations,
or injection compositions, can be evaluated to determine the most effective
2
approach. Sensitivity analysis helps identify critical parameters that significantly
influence the success of miscible CO2 injection.
Recommendation:
1.Experiment with injection water and carbon dioxide at the same time , but in
different wells.
3. While working on the project, it was found that date matching required a lot
of production and pressure history data . This means obtaining
(confidential)basic primary data that is not available. The lack of basic primary
data can also contribute significantly to inaccurate matching of dates.
