TABLE OF CONTENTS
YOU WILL NEED:
Cardstock ( 65lb weight is my favorite)
Cutting machine like a Cricut Maker (if you are using the svg or dxf files)
Craft Scissors (if cutting the flowers by hand)
Quilling Tool or tweezers
A Hot Glue Gun
You can create fun and decorative rolled flowers using your cutting machine
(like a Cricut Maker or Silhouette Cameo) or cutting them by hand.
A Cricut rolled flower template is so easy to use and is one of my favorite craft
projects. I use them for all sorts of decorations and as center pieces
on beautifully wrapped gifts.
If you don’t have a cutting machine, don’t worry! You can cut out the printable
rolled paper flower template by hand using the PDF provided and a pair of
sharp pointed craft scissors.
First, make sure your glue gun is heated and ready! Then begin cutting out your
Cricut rolled flower template. If you are cutting with your machine, upload the
svg into the software and cut your flowers. I use a Cricut Maker (which I absolutely
love and highly recommend), here is what it will look like in Cricut Design Space:
If you are cutting by hand, print your flowers onto colored card using the pdf
file included. Then get cutting with a nice sharp pair of craft scissors.
SIZE
There is no hard and fast rule and with practice, you will find which method suits
you best. The most important factor is to maintain the same tension throughout
the rolling, this ensures the most even spacing between the petals.
Once you reach the end circle, bend it backwards slightly, apply your glue with the
glue gun and then fold in onto the base and hold for a few seconds. Watch video
tutorial for better understanding, which we provided in the package.
