Activity Guide and Evaluation Rubric - Unit 1 - Task 1 - Reflecting Upon English Language Awareness
1. Activity Description
Check the course presentation, agenda, rules and conditions, syllabus, contents, and
activity guides, and evaluation rubrics in the Learning environment. Then, introduce
yourself in the forum and answer the following questions:

If even so, you do not have access to your institutional email, send a message

Then, share in the forum a reflection that includes the following aspects:
1. Have you got an English language level certification? If not, what do you
consider your level to be at present?
2. How did you get to the level you have now?
3. Why are you studying English as a foreign language?
4. How is studying a language as an adult different from studying it as a child?
5. How long should you study a foreign language?
6. How can you make language learning a part of your life in the future?
7. How can you organize lifelong language learning?

Step 4 – Submission
Submit an individual PDF to the Evaluation environment including a cover page, the
public link to your video, your self-introduction, the answers from Step 1, the
reflections from Step 2, and references.

In the Evaluation Environment, you must:
- Submit your individual outcome consisting of a PDF and check your score and
feedback afterward.
PDF document with your self-introduction, the public link to the video, the required
answers and reflections about the course recognition and language awareness, and
references.
Under the Academic Code of Conduct, the actions that infringe the academic order,
among others, are the following: paragraph e) Plagiarism is to present as your own

another person. It also implies the use of citations or lack of references, or it
includes citations where there is no match between these and the reference and

Low level: The reflection about language awareness regarding
the aspects from Step 2 is not presented or it is almost null.
If your work is at this level, you can get between 0 points
and 2 points
Third evaluation High level: The link to the video is public, it lasts minimum 4
criterion: minutes, the student is on camera, the content is complete
according to requirements, and it is high-quality regarding sound

and structure and 6 points
This criterion Average level: The video has issues regarding access, length,
represents 6 student visibility on camera, required content, and/or the quality
points of the total is poor regarding sound, presentation, etc.
