II. EFFECTS

A. RELATED INCIDENTS (TAB A)

A total of 1,662 families / 4,180 individuals were affected due to typhoon EgayPH.
On Agricultural sector, 1,191 farmers were affected – rice is 1,083.89 has (totally
damaged) with a cost of ₱15,953,058.00 while 157 farmers were affected on corn with 194.57
has (totally damaged) costing ₱13,651,031.20 and 15.12 has (partially damaged) costing
₱1,060,819.20 with a total damaged of 209.69 has costing ₱14,711,850.40.
On Health sector, there were 5 patients with fever upon evacuation. Laboratory test
results show 4 out of five has dengue fever. Residual misting was done at the evacuation
center. IEC for dengue, leptospirosis, AGE, water sanitation and hygiene was also done
among evacuees. All patients are free from fever before returning to home.
On infrastructure sector, damage report are as follows;
1. Soil erosion on embankment Manambong Parte Evacuation Center
2. Concaved pavement in Manambong Parte Evacuation Center main roadway.
3. Partial collapse of dike in Purok 7, Brgy. Managos
4. Portion of Purok 7 has no dike resulting to soil erosion and spill of river water
resulting to flooding along riverbank of Tarlac River
5. Soil erosion underneath the road washedout by flood water in Purok 7, Brgy.
Managos, Bayambang, Pangasinan.
On educational sector, 2 schools were affected namely Amanperez Elementary and
Tamaro-Tambac Elementary School. Prolonged 2-3 feet water level flood due to local rains
brought about by TY Egay and LPA.

● July 29- Distributed 32 wooden bed to 32 families currently in evacuation center.
Medical check up and distribution of medicines and vitamins to all evacuees was
done.
● July 30-Distribution of hot meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and hygiene kits to
the evacuees.
● July 31- Provision of storytelling/coloring book for children at Manambong Parte
evacuation center. Continue monitoring in District 5.
● August 1 – Provided 100pcs sandbags as mitigating measures to Brgy. Manambong
with Engineering Office; Provision of pediasure (formula milk) to 3 dengue patients at
Manambong Sur EC by Nutrition Office, and fruits for 2-year-old with RHU; Provided
additional 37 food packs for evacuees.
● August 5 – Provided 16 food packs to 16 families (evacuees).

● On full alert and continuously monitoring and disseminating weather
updates to the Communities.
● Activated all BDRRMCs, prepositioned necessary equipment & supplies,
and prepared evacuation centers

● Prepared situational report every 0500H, 1100H, 1700H, and 2300H
● Placed all heavy equipment and emergency response equipment on standby
● Raised the ALERT STATUS to “RED”
● Alert status was downgraded from RED to BLUE effective 5PM of August 8,
2023

IV. DISASTER RESPONSE

A. FOOD AND NON-FOOD ITEMS (F/NFIs)

• A total of 500 Family Food Packs (FFPs) and a total of 500 non-food items are
prepositioned at different strategic locations.
• 57 food packs were distributed to Barangay Batangcaoa
• 200 relief packs were distributed to Barangay Inanlorenza, Caturay, Reynado,
Hermoza, Manambong Sur
• Additional 37 food packs for evacuees.
• Provided formula milk for 3 dengue patients, fruits for 2-year-old
• Additional 16 food packs for evacuees.
B. PROTECTION, CAMP COORDINATION AND MANAGEMENT (PCCM)
• All Evacuation Centers are ready in case of evacuation.
• 32 wooden bed distributed to 32 families currently in evacuation center.
• Distribution of hot meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and hygiene kits to the evacuees.
• Additional 5 wooden bed in the Manambong Sur evacuation center.
• Provided 24 coloring/story telling books to children at Manambong Parte EC.

• Provided check-up to evacuees and misting as prevention to dengue outbreak.

J. DAMAGE ASSESSMENT AND NEEDS ANALYSIS


On Agricultural sector, not all the affected farmers applied for crop insurance. There is a
need to strengthen the crop insurance application policy among farmers as part of risk
transfer solution.

On infrastructure sector, soil erosion as a result of prolonged flooding can affect the
integrity of the embankment of the evacuation center and concrete pavements. Construction
of stone masonry is required as mitigation to prevent further erosions.
On educational sector, the affected schools are all located in a situation lower than the
canals and roads hence the local rains flood the place. Needs to coordinate with DepEd for a
long term solution on elevating the classrooms and school facilities.
