INTRODUCTION

Nodal analysis is a method used in electrical circuit analysis to determine node voltages. It's based on
Kirchhoff's current law. Steps:

1. Identify nodes where components are connected.

2. Choose a reference (ground) node.

3. Write KCL equations for each non-reference node.

4. Substitute component voltages and currents into KCL equations.

5. Solve the resulting system of linear equations for node voltages.

6. Use node voltages to find other quantities of interest in the circuit.

PRE-LAB TASK

In lab task we simply solved the circuit shown in figure 01 by using nodal analysis.

The calculated results are shown in table 01.

EQUIPMENTS REQUIRED

1. Resistors.
2. DMM.
3. Breadboard,
4. DC power supply.
5. Connecting wire.

IN-LAB TASK

 In this lab task we designed given electrical circuit on hardware as shown in figure 02.
 Then we measured the voltages at each node using DMM.
 Then we measured all the currents through each resistor using DMM.
 After taking all measurements we recorded them in the table 02.

CRITICAL ANALYSIS

In our lab we used nodal analysis for electrical circuit analysis. However, critical aspects that affected the
reliability of results included measurement accuracy, circuit complexity, circuit modifications,
assumptions and simplifications. Measurement accuracy was hard to maintain. Circuit complexity
required careful consideration of equations. Circuit modifications had to be properly documented and
verified. Assumptions and simplifications, such as ideal components, might not have always held true.
Lastly, nodal analysis was primarily used for steady-state analysis.
