INTRODUCTION.................................................................................................................................1
To demonstrate our learnings from the lecture conducted this week, we were tasked with
creating a circuit featuring 555 Timer and Binary Counter as part of our weekly laboratory. A 555
timer is used in various electronic circuits for generating timing pulses, oscillations and delays. But
for this particular laboratory we will use it for integrating binary counter to control the timing and
triggering of each counting stage, ensuring accurate counting and synchronization. A Binary
Counter is commonly used in digital electronics to count binary numbers. For our laboratory we
will show the exact counting of Binary Counter starting from 0000 (0) to 1111 (15).
In the process of making our circuit for our laboratory, we encountered few problems such
as loose wiring. We also had a conflict with our 74LS93 IC, where we got confused on the
connection of its pin. But after some trial and error, we fixed it by changing the wire and doing
For the following pages, we will provide the materials, stimulation, physical application,
output and data sheets for the NE555 IC and 74LS93 IC where we will discuss more about its
characteristics.
