Keyboard Skills Performance Assessment
I. Practical Test to assess Grade 3 students' proficiency in using a computer keyboard and familiarize them with basic keyboard shortcuts.
Task 1: Keyboard Familiarization
1. Open a new word document. 2. On a blank page, type the alphabet (both uppercase and lower case) 3. Press Enter once then type the numbers 0-9 in order.
Task 2: Basic Keyboard Shortcuts
1. On the same document, type your full name. 2. Copy your name and past it 5x using the keyboard shortcuts for copy and paste. 3. Using keyboard shortcut for cut, select 2 letters from your name and delete it. 4. Change the font style of every name and set it to Bold. 5. Italicize the last 2 sets of your name.
Task 3: Saving File and sending email
1. Save the file by clicking the correct keyboard shortcut for saving. 2. Save the file with this file name “G3_COMPUTER_yourlastname” 3. Open your g-mail account and send the file as an attachment with the subject “COMPUTER-yourlastname”
