Describe a photo that makes you feel happy
Well, let me tell you about my family photo that we took when having vacation. You know, my family has a tradition that whenever I finish my school year, we will go somewhere to let our hair down. And this summer holiday, we decided to go to Hue city. When we were on the road, we suddenly came across a flower meadow. Because my mother loves photography, we stopped there and took some beautiful photos. At first, I took some photos of my mother posing with beautiful flowers around. Out of the blue, the owner of that meadow saw us and suggested we take a family photo. She was very kind to teach us some poses and even gave us some wreaths. All of them were amazing but there was a very special photo. In that photo, my parents hugged me and we smiled cheerfully, showing a great sense of family affection. But the best part was that we didn’t know that we were taken so everyone looked really natural. My mother thanked the owner and said that was the most beautiful photo she had ever seen. For me, this photo captures a beautiful moment for us. So whenever I feel bad, I will look at it again to remind me of happy memories. 2. Describe a place in your country that you are interested in Well, I am really interested in Son Doong cave which is the largest cave in the world. I have never been there before but I had been searching for its information for my school project and also saw it in a music video of Alan Walker. I really want to go there with my family as we all are adventure seekers so it would be great to share the same interest and spend time together in the cave. The reasons that make the tour to Son Doong cave intriguing is the activities that we can do there. I have seen a lot of them on the websites of travel agencies . The first thing that the visitors can do is camping. You know, setting up camp in the cave and sleeping in the massive chamber surrounded by nature formation and absolute darkness sounds kinda scary but also really exciting too so I really want to give it a try with my family there. We can also be able to take a refreshing swim in the underground pool and waterfall formed by the cave river. Nothing is greater than taking a swim in this hot weather. That's all I want to talk about. 3. Describe someone you know who is good at cooking Well let me tell you about my mother, who is an excellent cook. Actually, she is the main chef for her nursery school so everything she cooks is not only delicious and eye-catching but also safe and nutritious. With some seasoning and ingredients, she can make a healthy meal. My mother also knows very much about nutrition and she always balances it in the meal. Honestly, I can keep fit mostly because of her healthy diet. Moreover, she is a very careful chef. Before cooking, she always sanitizes all cooking equipment and prepares the most fresh ingredients to ensure food hygiene. However, what makes me admire her is the way she cooks with her heart. She does not need any cooking instructions, she just learned it by herself as she always tries to discover new recipes. I still remember that on my 12th birthday, I invited some of my friends over and all of them were amazed with my mother's scrumptious fried chicken, which was different from what they had always eaten in restaurants. This made me so proud. Whatever she makes, I can eat like a horse. I am fortunate enough to eat her food on a daily basis. 4. Describe an impressive work of art (such as a painting) you saw Well, last week, I visited an art gallery and when I was admiring some sculptures, I accidentally came across a vase. To be honest, it was the most perfect vase that I had ever seen in my life. Sizewise, it's about 30 centimeters tall and has a wide opening at the top that narrows towards the base. What I love about this vase is the way it catches the light. The glaze on the surface reflects the light in different ways, depending on the angle and intensity. Sometimes it looks like it's glowing from within, and other times it appears to be shimmering like a jewel. What makes this vase even more special to me is the fact that it was handmade by a skilled artisan who is a famous person in the field in my country. So of course it cost me a fortune. It's not something that was mass-produced in a factory, but rather a unique piece of art that was created with care and skill. For me, this vase is the most impressive art I have ever seen. 5. Describe a park or a garden in your city Well, let me tell you about the Center park in my neighborhood. For me, this place is impeccable. First of all, this park has the largest green areas. Regarding natural land, it has many kinds of trees, a small flower meadow and even a small artificial mountain. What makes it more special is the fact that there is a big pond in the middle of this park, which has a small temple in the middle. To get there, people pass a red bridge and then they can also enter a temple on that land. Actually it is a simulation of Hoan Kiem lake and one -pillar pagoda in Hanoi. Many people go there and pray while others love the place for its mesmerizing scenery. Besides, there is also a nice path that goes all the way around that lake for people to go jogging or riding bicycles. I often go there to run while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere here. It is a good way to keep fit and relieve stress for me. Especially in the afternoon, I can also see the sunset and the way water reflects it like a big shining diamond. But the best way to enjoy it is climbing up the mountain nearby and watching the whole picturesque view of the park. However, what makes me love going to this park is the fact that I can meet all kinds of people here. I have made friends with many people here and sometimes we run together. 6. Describe a foreigner you know who speaks your language well Well, let me tell you about the woman I met at my dad's Year end party. Her name is Maria and also the only foreigner in my dad's workplace who can speak Vietnamese very well. You know, my dad is working for an international company so there were a lot of foreigners there. When I was enjoying my drink, my Dad introduced Maria to me. He knew that I was learning Ielts so he encouraged me to talk with her. At first, I felt very nervous because at that time, my English was still limited. Out of the blue, it turned out that her Vietnamese was good. This is because She has lived in Vn for 10 years already and she even got married to a Vietnamese man. So we ended up using both languages to communicate. Normally it took a while for me to get along with new people but this time with Maria, we just built up a good relationship very quickly and I guess the reason was because we shared so many things in common for example we are both book enthusiasts and we love talking about big topics such as environmental problems, politics or economic situations in the world. She also possesses a great sense of humor and her jokes never fail to crack me up. But what makes the story more intriguing is that she has lived in several parts of Vn so she has a combination of Vietnamese. Sometimes she speaks like Ha Noi people and the other time she uses a Southern accent. She can even use the regional dialect in central Vietnam. I think it is so cute when she says broken Vietnamese. When the party ended, we became good friends. And since then, whenever we hang out together, I help her with Vietnamese and she teaches me English in return. 7. Describe someone you don’t know but would like to know more about Well, I really want to know more about the girl that I saw when taking part in an Ielts workshop last month. Regarding the workshop, there were many people with good ielts results who went there and they had a debate about some concerning issues. All of them were amazing. However, I was impressed with a girl. Even though we share the same age, she seemed to be more mature than me. The way she clarified her opinion in English was so good. She used a wide range of vocabulary and grammar to make her unique ideas more persuasive. At that time, I wondered how she could be so good at english. When the debate ended, the participants could share their story and I felt so interesting then as that girl and I share some similarities. We are both book enthusiasts and we also love traveling. I also found that she is not only confident but also a friendly and sweet girl. It makes me admire her more and more. That is why I want to know more about her in order to improve my English and also to be a good friend. 8. Describe someone who has interesting ideas and opinions I'd like to talk about my friend, Sarah, who is someone I consider to have incredibly interesting ideas and opinions. I've known her for several years, and what sets her apart is her unique perspective on a wide range of topics. Actually, Sarah is a book enthusiast. She has read a variety of books on philosophy, science, history, and literature. Her diverse reading habits have broadened her horizons and given her a wealth of knowledge to draw upon during conversations. I remember a recent discussion we had about the impact of technology on society. Sarah shared some thought-provoking insights about how our increasing reliance on digital devices is reshaping our relationships and even our sense of self. Her ability to connect seemingly unrelated topics always leaves me in awe. Sometimes, when I struggle with Ielts writing, she is the person who helps me to brainstorm some amazing ideas. I will never ever get bored whenever I listen to her. 10. Describe a period of time that changed your life Well, let me tell you about the period last year that made me become a better person. You know, there is a tradition in Vietnam which is on the 23rd of Lunar December, Vietnamese people would release goldfish into rivers or lakes in the belief that these fish would be the vehicles to take the Kitchen gods to heaven to report everything of the previous year to the God there. And last year when my mom assigned me to perform the ritual, I was so shocked to see that, instead of bringing the plastic containers where they kept the fish home, they threw them everywhere along the river bank. That river used to be so pure and fresh when I was young but then, its water is black with a thousand plastic bags floating. At that moment, I realized the direct effect of human beings on the environment. So, after the ritual, I decided to spend some time collecting the litter and out of the blue, some other people noticed that and they started to join hands with me. I know it was just a small action but it did offer me a sense of accomplishment as I could raise the awareness of people around me. Since then, I have become more mature and care more about the environment by joining many environment protection activities. 11. Describe a beautiful city you have visited Well, let me tell you about Da Nang city. Back then, after being up to the ears with my final test, my parents decided to give me a trip to Da Nang. It was coincidentally the start of a long holiday in my country, which means that I had the whole weekend to explore the city with my family before heading back to my hometown. As I had visited Da Nang twice previously, I was blown away by the shifting sand of the city. There were a multitude of changes with the most noticeable being new recreational facilities mushrooming all around the city such as the golden hand bridge, 3D trickeye museum, Than Tai water park, the upside down house. Nonetheless, Da Nang is compatible (phù hợp) not only for people who are looking for places to blow off steam (xoã) and unwind but also for natural beauty enthusiasts and even those considering where to settle down. This is because Da Nang can offer almost everything a person may ask for, from stunning white sandy beaches with crystal clear sea water glowing in summer’s sunlight, marvelous hills and mountains to cutting edge infrastructure for healthcare services, education or transportation, which allow you to satisfy all your basic needs. And of course it would be a huge mistake if I don’t mention the hospitality of the local residents in Da Nang. All these things make Da Nang the most worth-living city in the whole country. 12. Describe a problem you have when you using computer One problem I frequently encounter when using a computer is software crashes. It's an issue that can be incredibly frustrating and disruptive to my work or leisure activities. This problem typically occurs when I'm running multiple applications simultaneously. Suddenly, without warning, the screen freezes, and I lose all control over the computer. It feels like a momentary panic as I realize I might lose unsaved work or be forced to restart the computer. When these crashes happen, it not only wastes my time but can also be quite stressful. I remember one day when I was about to finish my IELTS essay, the problem arose and I lost everything I had written. To mitigate the problem, I've learned to save my work frequently and use cloud-based storage for important files to minimize data loss. Besides, I'm always on the lookout for new strategies or software updates that might provide a more permanent solution. But it seems to be an on-going issue and sometimes I do think that the only solution to it is to buy a brand new computer as mine may be too old already. 13. Describe a rule that important in your school or at work One of the most important rules in my school is the dress code policy. This rule plays a significant role in maintaining a conducive learning environment and promoting a sense of discipline and unity among students. The dress code at my school is quite strict. It requires all students to wear a uniform, consisting of a specific type of shirt or blouse, paired with trousers or a skirt of a designated color. Additionally, students are expected to wear closed-toe shoes and adhere to specific grooming guidelines, such as keeping their hair neat and not having any visible tattoos or excessive piercings. This rule is essential for several reasons. Firstly, it helps eliminate social and economic disparities among students, as everyone wears the same uniform, This fosters a sense of equality and inclusivity within the school community. Secondly, the dress code promotes a focused and serious learning atmosphere. When students are dressed uniformly, it minimizes distractions related to clothing choices and encourages them to concentrate on their studies. I believe that this rule is a must in any school. 14. Describe a time when you gave good advice to someone Well I would like to tell you about the time when I suggested my cousin choose her high school. Back then, she was an excellent student so she was accepted by both a top-notch public high school and a school for the gifted but this actually put her in a dilemma. She was so confused about which school to choose, so I told her about the merits of each school. Regarding specialized education, she only had to concentrate on 1 subject, so she could perform well in the excellent students exam, and have more chances to get a scholarship for higher education. However, from my own experience, I advised her that she could develop in a more comprehensive way and did not have to be up to the ears with a hectic schedule if she learned at the public school and I highly recommended her. By the end of the day, she chose my advice which was the public one. At the moment, she and I all agree that it was one of the wisest pieces of advice I have ever made. At public school, she has had quite brilliant performance and been in the top 3 in the school's excellent students examination. Not only that, she also has a large social circle as she gets on very well with her teachers and friends and she has taken part in volunteer activities within my school. 15. Describe an activity that make you feel tired Certainly, one activity that always makes me feel tired is hiking in the mountains. While it's incredibly rewarding and enjoyable, it can be physically demanding and exhausting. When I go hiking in the mountains, I typically choose challenging trails that involve steep ascents and rugged terrain. The combination of uphill climbs, uneven surfaces, and the need to carry a backpack with essentials like water, snacks, and gear can quickly take a toll on my energy levels. I often find myself panting as I ascend steeper sections of the trail. The higher altitudes can also make it harder to breathe, adding to the feeling of tiredness. Even though the breathtaking views and the connection to nature make it all worthwhile, I can't deny that by the end of the day, I'm usually quite tired and ready for a good rest 16, Describe a party that you enjoyed Well, last year, I had a chance to join my father's year end party at his company and it was good. You know, he is working for an international company so I have met many foreigners from all parts of the world at that party. It was a nice experience. Moreover, that party actually was a gala dinner so after eating, we also played some games, sang karaoke and danced to upbeat music. But what I loved the most about this party was when everyone in the company showed their performances on stage. Some people sang some popular songs in their countries, while others played instruments. Everyone did it very well and I was impressed with their talents. My father also wanted to amaze his colleagues but he had no idea what to do. After a while, I came up with an idea. I suggested he do a magic trick with me. Regarding the preparation, I borrowed a blanket and also a mirror to put it behind the table. When it was my father's turn, he held that blanket in front of everyone while saying some magic spell and then I hid behind the mirror. When he dropped the blanket, there was only a table and everyone thought that I had vanished. When my father repeated the spell, I appeared again. No one knew about that trick and they were really excited. Out of the blue, my father was rewarded for the best performance and we were proud of it. That was a great party. 17. Describe an occasion when you have to wait for a good thing to happen Well let me tell you about the time when I was waiting for my Ielts results. Back then, I had two choices for high school entrance. The first one was using only entrance results and the second choice was using academic transcript with Ielts results. And I had to obey the rule that after receiving the entrance result, I had to choose only one school and wasn't allowed to change my decision. Honestly, my entrance result then was good enough for me to enter the second best public school in my city, which was the dream of many students then. However, I wanted to study at the best one, which means that I had to use my transcript and Ielts results. The academic result was fine so I just needed to wait for the Ielts results. Even though I knew it was risky as I could fail both schools, I still believed in myself and kept waiting. I have to admit that it was such a nerve racking time because it took longer time than I expected. All of my friends had decided their school while I still waiting. However, after a week, I received the results and I passed it with flying colors. It worth my waiting. 18.Describe a science subject that you are interested in (Biology,Robotics ,etc.) The science subject that has always fascinated me is Biology. Biology is the study of living organisms and their interactions with each other and their environment. There are several compelling reasons why I find Biology so intriguing. First and foremost, Biology is the science of life. It delves into the incredible diversity of living creatures on our planet, from the tiniest microorganisms to the largest mammals. It allows us to explore the intricacies of how life begins, evolves, and adapts to changing conditions. Understanding the mechanisms of life, such as genetics, reproduction, and metabolism, is like uncovering the secrets of our own existence. Besides, Biology encourages a sense of wonder and awe about the natural world. Whether observing the intricate patterns of a butterfly's wings, the complexity of a cell's structure, or the diversity of species in a rainforest, Biology offers countless opportunities for exploration and discovery. I still remember – vòng đời của salmon 19. Describe a time you received bad service in restaurants/shops Let me tell you about my experience in a famous restaurant in my city. About 2 weeks ago, my family decided to dine out in a new swanky restaurant near my house. Honestly, this restaurant was good. In terms of the space, it was wide and there was also an open area. Regarding food, it was delicious and well seasoned. However, when my dad was about to finish his soup, he realized that there was a baby cockroach in his bowl. My mother called the waiter immediately to report it. But instead apologizing, he insisted that it was a bee. His indifferent behavior showed that he lacked work ethic and profession. We were very angry and discussed it with him but it was just in vain. He has no positive response and he even didn’t bat an eyelid. Finally, my dad ended up calling the manager. Fortunately, the manager came and knew that something was wrong and said sorry to us. He also compensated us with a half discount for this meal. The waiter was also punished after that because of bad service. It was such a terrible experience. 20. Describe a sportsperson from your country who did well in a sports event I'd like to talk about a highly accomplished sportsperson from my country, Vietnam, who has made a significant impact in the world of swimming. Her name is Nguyễn Thị Ánh Viên, commonly known as Anh Vien. She has consistently performed exceptionally well in numerous sports events and has become a source of inspiration for aspiring athletes in Vietnam. One of Anh Vien's most notable achievements came during the 2015 Southeast Asian Games held in Singapore. She competed in various swimming events and clinched an astonishing eight gold medals, breaking multiple records in the process. Her extraordinary performance not only made headlines in Vietnam but also garnered international attention, solidifying her reputation as a top-tier swimmer. However, Anh Vien's journey to success has not been without challenges. She has faced rigorous training regimes, intense competition, and the pressure of representing her country at the highest level. However, her resilience and unwavering commitment to her sport have enabled her to overcome these obstacles and achieve remarkable feats. 21. Describe a good advertisement that you think is useful I'd like to describe an advertisement that I found not only good but also incredibly useful. It's an advertisement for a public service campaign called "Smarter Every Day" that I came across online a few months ago. This advertisement features a visually appealing and emotionally engaging video. It begins with a series of shots showing various everyday situations where people encounter small problems. As the video progresses, it introduces the idea that learning something new every day can make us smarter. The focus then shifts to individuals of all ages and backgrounds engaged in various learning activities – reading books, attending workshops, and even taking online courses. The ad effectively conveys the message that knowledge and learning are accessible to everyone, regardless of age or circumstance. This advertisement is exceptionally useful for several reasons. Firstly, it encourages a culture of lifelong learning, which is crucial in our rapidly evolving world. Secondly, it promotes the idea that education is not limited to formal settings; anyone can learn something new every day, even from simple everyday experiences. 22. Describe a difficult task that you completed at work/study that you felt proud of As a high school student, one particularly challenging task I completed, which left me with a great sense of pride, was organizing and leading a school-wide charity fundraiser. The task involved planning, coordinating, and executing a charity event with the goal of raising funds for a local children's shelter. The first challenge was coming up with an innovative and appealing fundraising idea that would resonate with both students and teachers. After brainstorming and consulting with peers, we decided to organize a charity carnival. However, organizing an event of this scale was actually an uphill task. We needed to secure a suitable venue, obtain permits, and coordinate schedules. Additionally, we had to recruit volunteers, assign responsibilities, and ensure everything ran smoothly. Despite the initial challenges, our hard work and dedication paid off. The charity carnival was a resounding success, attracting a large crowd of students, teachers, and community members. We not only met our fundraising goal but exceeded it, which offered me a great sense of accomplishment and pride in myself as the leader of the team. 23. Describe an exciting activity that you experienced Well, let me tell you about my exciting experience in Son Doong cave which is the largest cave in the world. This summer, I went there with my family as we all are adventure seekers so it was great to share the same interest and spend time together in the cave. The reasons that make the tour to Son Doong cave intriguing is the activities that we did there. The first thing that the visitors can do is camping. We also took a refreshing swim in the underground pool and waterfall formed by the cave river. Nothing is greater than taking a swim in this hot weather. That's all I want to talk about. 24. Describe a young child you stay with Well, let me tell you about my cousin who just started to live with me one year ago. You know, my mother has a sister, I mean my aunt and she just decided to work in Taiwan last year. Honestly, she is a single mum so before her made up her mind, it put her in a dilemma. Because she couldn’t find a well paid job in VN There was nobody to take care of her child then. However, my mother, the only person that she can count on, suggested her daughter to live with us and she has been living with my family since then. About my cousin, her name is Ngoc and she just entered secondary school this year. However, she is much more mature than her age. I mean she is well behaved and has good manners. Ngoc always helps me with the household chores. Moreover, she is an excellent student and she has a lot of not only academic but also sport rewards, that is why I am really proud of her. At the same time, since living together, I have to say that I have become a better version of myself. I always try to be a good example for her, I mean I give up my bad habits and take up a better routine. I always give her all my love and treat her decently like a younger sister. Sometimes I just want to bring her happiness and feel like home when her mother isn't here 26. Describe a happy experience in your childhood that you remember well A happy experience in my childhood was playing with my cousins. I know it sounds kinda weird but the reason why I want to talk about this is because my family and I live far from our hometown so I could hardly meet my cousins, let alone play with them. On the day that my little sister was one month old, there were a lot of relatives coming to our house to celebrate it with my family and that was the first time I met all of the cousins at the same time. After we had finished the meal, my cousins and I decided to play hide and seek together. Because I lived in an apartment so there were a lot of hiding spots for us to play. I enjoyed that moment a lot as playing together was a fun way to spend time with my cousins. With the development of technology, we could obviously have played with our smart phone or laptop; however by playing hide and seek, at least we had some quality time to spend together, keeping us away from technology. Especially now we are all grown up and busy with our own life, worrying for our own future so the moments when playing with each other become more precious to me. I think that in the future when we are adults and be able to go independently of our parents, we may go on a vacation together to strengthen the family bond. 27. Describe a person you know who likes to help others (or, who often helps others). One person immediately pops up in my mind is den vau. His real name is nguyen duc cuong and he is 35 years old, working in the music industry as a rapper, and a producer. I was really impressed by his amazing voice and meaningful lyrics about his appreciation and respect for life. Listening to his songs always offers me a great sense of motivation to try harder in my study and life. However, what made me a big fan of his is actually his great personality. Despite his success and reputation, he remains humble and grateful for everything he has. I still remember about 6 years ago, central Vietnam suffered from one of the widest storms and most serious floods in Vietnam history, causing tremendous damage to people and property. Den Vau had donated 500 million VND for the affected area and 2 years ago, during covid 19, he sent 200 million VND to the government and most recently, all the income from youtube of his latest music video, which is about 1 billion VND, was donated to children from underprivileged families in the mountainous areas of Vietnam too. So that is also the reason why I really admire him. 28. Describe an invention that changed people's lives. The invention I will talk about today is the internet. Unlike in the past, only a group of people who were wealthy could be able to have computers at home to access this invention. But now, Thanks to the development of Technology, the internet is now becoming an indispensable part of people's lives. For the time being, everyone, from a really young child to a really old person, can access the internet easily. I think it changes people's lives in various aspects, however I would just mention some of those. First is the way people work and study. You know, in the past we had to go to the schools, we had to go to the offices and so on which took us a lot of time to travel around. However nowadays, with a click of mouse, everything is in our hands. Secondly it is the way we communicate. For example, we are talking despite . Last but not least it is how we entertain. people in the past had to go to the cinemas or the theaters to have some recreation; however, now we just need a phone and turn on some films or movies on the Internet conveniently. 29. Describe the type of clothes that you usually (like to) wear. When it comes to the type of clothes I usually wear, I would describe my style as casual and comfortable. I prefer clothing that allows me to move freely and feel at ease throughout the day. Therefore, I opt for the combinations of jeans, T-shirts, and sneakers. Well, those clothes are basic items so I can find them everywhere but I usually go to the market or shopping online. I mean that I purchase from the websites of local brands so I can be pretty sure about the fabric and the design, unlike when buying from Shopee or Lazada. However, when I look for clothes on special occasions I usually go to the local boutiques so I can try the items there to see if the clothes fit me or look good on me or not. As a student with a tight budget, I just buy clothes when my parents give me money or when I save up enough to buy something new. To buy clothes I think there are many factors that I put into consideration . First of all, comfort is Paramount to me, so I usually choose clothes with fabric that is breathable and soft and the design allows me to move at ease. Secondly is its diversity. I mean when I buy new clothes I want to make sure that my other items can mix and match with the new clothes to maximize their use. Thirdly it is the durability because I cannot refresh my wardrobe frequently, so I have to make sure that the clothes can last long. 30. Describe a popular person (who) you know. So that is also the reason why I really admire him. 31. Describe a traditional celebration (a festival or ceremony) in your country that you enjoy Well I would like to talk about the Hung Vuong Temple festival that I joined last April. This is a traditional festival in Vietnam taking place on the 10th day of the third lunar month. On this occasion, people from different regions and backgrounds gather at the Hung Temple in the belief that participating in the festival brings them spiritual blessings and protection. So that was the reason why I went there with my family. Because of the number of people going there, the festival was really crowded, especially in the vicinity of the Hung Temple in Phu Tho province where the main activities took place. The festival featured a wide range of cultural activities, including folk music performances, traditional dances, and so on that depict historical events and legends related to the Hung Kings. Visitors pay their respects to the Hung Kings by making offerings including traditional food, fruits, flowers and votive objects at the temples. Although it was hard to breathe and I had to keep an eye on my parents every second in case I got lost, the festival was still a good experience fostering my understanding of my country’s origins and cultural beauty ho /The reason why the festival is important is that this is an opportunity to express deep respect and reverence for our ancestors and the festival also serves as a platform for educating younger generations about the country's history and cultural heritage. 32. Describe the game you enjoyed playing when you were younger One of the games I played frequently in my childhood was hide and seek which is a classic game that involves a group of players who take turns to seek while the other players try to hide themselves. I used to play with my friends in the neighborhood. We usually played in the afternoon or on the weekends as that was when everyone had free time to play together. Because I lived in an apartment so there are a lot of hiding spots for us- the children to play. I always enjoy playing this game for many reasons and the very first one is that hide and seek is a fun way to spend time with my friends and siblings. With the development of technology, we could obviously play with our smart phone or laptop ourselves; however by playing hide and seek, at least we had some time to spend together and kept us away from technology. Especially now we are all grown up and busy with our own life, worrying for our own future so the moments when playing with each other become more precious to me. And the game also helped us to improve our creativity to come up with new hiding spots, and to be quick on our feet when trying to avoid being caught by the seekers. 33. Describe a time when you spend time with a child There was once time that I spent with my younger sister teaching her how to use an app called Zoom. It was during covid 19 pandemic so everyone had to be at their home and students had to learn online. My sister back then was in the 3rd grade in primary school. You know, the primary teachers always had a lot of activities and games to interact with their student so that was the reason why my sister had to know how to use the app Zoom for example how to turn on and off the micro, to raise hand, to send text messages and all other functions of Zoom that the teacher required . At first we were struggling because that was the first time I taught a child. I have to admit that it was very difficult because she was too young to understand such complicated things. I really wanted to give up then but I knew how important it was to my sister. This time, instead of using complex words, I used very simple words and slowly taught her step by step. And fortunately, it worked. It took me ages before my sister finally figured out how to use Zoom. Even up to now, my sister still says that she loves learning with me because of my enthusiasm and patience ; therefore, whenever she needs to learn anything new, she always asks me first. I have to be honest, it feels so good when she says so. 34. Describe a place far away from your area of living which you would visit in the future Well, I really want to visit Son Doong cave which is the largest cave in the world. I have never been there before but I had been searching for its information for my school project and also saw it in a music video of Alan Walker. This cave is located in Quang BInh, which is quite far from my area. So in the future, when I have some days off, I would like to get there with my family as we all are adventure seekers so it would be great to share the same interest and spend time together in the cave. The reasons that make the tour to Son Doong cave intriguing is the activities that we can do there. I have seen a lot of them on the websites of travel agencies . The first thing that the visitors can do is camping. You know, setting up camp in the cave and sleeping in the massive chamber surrounded by nature formation and absolute darkness .It sounds kinda scary but also really exciting too so I really want to give it a try with my family there. We can also be able to take a refreshing swim in the underground pool and waterfall formed by the cave river. Nothing is greater than taking a swim in this hot weather. That's all I want to talk about. 35. Describe a person who just moved into your community and brought positive influence (Describe a person who has just moved to his/her new accommodation) I'm gonna tell you about a new couple that has just moved to my neighborhood. They are hot tiktokers in my city and also the owners of a clothing shop, selling clothes for both men and women. In order to attract their fans, they always create many hilarious videos and these videos never fail to crack me up. Interestingly, 4 months ago they moved to the vicinity ò my living place. And one day when my mother came home, she looked so excited and she told my family that she really wanted to join that couple’s charity work. It is offering free meals for the patients of the provincial hospital. They said that they would take responsibility for the finances, however they said that they would enjoy everyone’s company as they needed personnel to do things like packing, cooking, or dishwashing. I understand why my mom was so excited because for a long time she had always wanted to contribute to society. So over the past 2 months, I mean all my family have been spending all our Sundays off helping in the hospital . But most importantly, not only my family but also my neighbors give their helpful hand to support the restaurant. For me this is the most inspirational and beautiful miracle because it spreads love among people here. 36. Describe a long car trip (or journey) you went on Well, let me tell you about my car trip to Hue city. You know, my family has a tradition that whenever I finish my school year, we will go somewhere to let our hair down. And this summer holiday, we decided to go to Hue city. Regarding transportation, a bus is too noisy so we may have to suffer from car sickness and a train is too noisy so my parents decided to go by car. I think that is the best decision they have ever made. During the trip, the weather was nice so we opened windows to enjoy fresh air and picturesque landscape. But what I like the most about this trip was when we came across a flower meadow. Because my mother loves photography, we stopped here and took some beautiful family photos. My mother said that was the most beautiful photo she had ever seen. Moreover, when we got there, we went by car to some famous tourist destination instead of going by taxi, which was economical and convenient for us. That car trip was great. 37. Describe a new store/shop that just opened Well, I would like to tell you about the coffee shop which just opened 2 months ago called Bookworm coffee. I have been its loyal customer since its first opening day. I found it by chance when looking for a place to study. For me, this place is impeccable because first of all, it is located in the vicinity of my house so I can just walk there. Besides, as its name suggests, the shop provides a wide range of books for me to choose from. And you know, it feels so good when I enjoy my own company in a very peaceful and cozy atmosphere with soothing music and subtle aroma of cinnamon. There is also a soundproof room for people who want to have tranquility and fully concentration. However, What make me love about this place is that I can meet other book enthusiasts, sometimes, we discuss about books together. 38. Describe a place you have been to where there were lots of people in your area. The first thing that comes to my mind is Vinh pedestrian which I had got there just a few months ago. I just finished my final exam then so my friends and I decided to go there to go wild. I did expect that it would be crowded but I didn’t believe that there would be thousands of people there. That is why most of the time, I could not even hear myself think, let alone making conversation with my friends. Besides, there are 2 main things that I love the most about the pedestrian street. Firstly is the random Kpop dance. I really want to see it but there were too many people blocking my view so I had to give up and move to other areas. The second thing is food vendors. In front of each vendor, there was a long queue of people waiting so it took me about half an hour just to buy orange juice. However the juice was fresh so I think it was worth my time. I have to admit that the noise was sometimes over sensory but I still had a good time there with my friends and maybe in the future, I will pay a visit to this pedestrian again. 39. Describe a book that you have read many times. When it comes to a book that I have to read many times, it would be my all time favorite book called “ Kane and Abel “, a book by Jeffrey Archer. The first time I read the book was 3 years ago when my mother gave it to me as a birthday present and since then, this book has changed my life a lot. ”Kane and Abel “ is the story of two men born on the same day but with completely different family backgrounds . One person has everything and the other one has nothing. Fate made them meet each other on the road to build their own empire. From this story, I have learned many important lessons, for example always try my best to achieve my ambition or never give up but the most important thing is that always remember to help people even if you don’t know them. The reason why I have read the book many times is that the book offers me a sense of motivation that could help me to overcome my difficulties. Moreover, I can have a much deeper understanding of many life lessons included in that book when I read it again and again. Maybe I will find new insight and also reinforce what I have learned. I always highly recommend this book to everyone. 40. Describe a talk you gave to a group of people Well, I have talked to many groups of people so far but the most memorable talk was my first speech to my school club. 3 years ago, I was afraid of public speaking and one of my friends recommended me to join some clubs so I decided to jump out of my comfort zone and take part in my school speech club. Regarding this club, every member has to prepare for a topic before the whole club discusses it in front of school to raise awareness of students. And the first topic for me was about a healthy lifestyle and I chose to talk about diet. Back then, I was very nervous and worried because that was the first time I had a public speech. Fortunately, the leader of that group was nice as she calmed me down and helped me to practice and prepare a lot for it. Out of the blue, it was so fine when I delivered the speech. At first, I started the discussion by telling the fact that diet plays a vital role in keeping fit. After that, I told the audience that what we eat is important and it has a dire effect on our bodies. I also suggested they follow the food pyramid and also some science facts to choose the suitable food. I still remember when I told them about fatty acids. While saturated fat and trans fat have a negative impact on our health, unsaturated fat is good. This actually shocked everyone because they had always thought that all kinds of fat was bad. And I was successful in drawing everyone's attention. They wanted me to share more interesting facts. At that moment, I felt very happy because the audience liked my content. They gave me a big applause. This wonderful experience will be permanently etched in my memories. 41. Describe a sport that you enjoy watching Well, I enjoy watching football. I usually watch it with my friends or family members who are also fans of football during the football season. We always watch it at home because it’s more comfortable and convenient for us but if I have a chance, I would love to watch my favorite team playing in stadiums while cheering for them with other football lovers. The reason why I like to watch football is that it is a fast-paced game that requires skill, strategy, and teamwork. I’m always impressed by the incredible athleticism and coordination of the players, and I find it fascinating to see how they work together to score points and win the game. As well as that, football is an enjoyable pastime for me because they provide entertainment, excitement when I watch them with others who share my enthusiasm for the sport. 42. Describe an ideal house or apartment where you want to live Well, the first thing that comes to my mind is my uncle's house. For many people, a perfect house must be cutting- edge to support themselves. However, I have to admit that after 2 years learning Ielts, I have read many articles and written a lot about the environment, which is a very common topic and this is the reason why I have changed my definition . And last month when I paid a visit to my uncle's house, I was blown away with its minimalism. My uncle just decided to change his home last year because he has a lot of time after retirement and now that it is time to really live. He removed all the unnecessary items, apart from some basic things for example rice cooker, gas stove, tea table and air conditioner because he cannot stand the heat. As a result, he has to do housework himself so he is always healthy. But what I like the most is that there are 2 beautiful gardens. One is in front of the house that plants fruit and vegetables. The other one is a flower garden on the roof of the house. Moreover, every afternoon, he can drink tea while enjoying the river view beside his house. This home allows him to live not only a simple but also an authentic life. Honestly, some of my relatives said he is living a difficult life, however, I think he is living a wonderful life now. Even though I am still young, I would like to live in a house like that in the future. 43. Describe an expensive gift that you want to give someone if you save a lot of money Well, should I save enough money, I really want to give a beautiful vase to my mom whose passion is arranging flowers in different kinds of flower pots and vases. I accidentally came across the vase when I was surfing Facebook. It might have been the Fb algorithm that recommended it to me as in the meantime i was searching everything that related to flowers for my mother’s birthday present. For me, this vase is one of a kind, and I would obviously buy it for my mom if I have enough money. 44. Describe a water sport you would like to try in the future. Well i really want to learn scuba diving in the future if i have free time. This is a kind of diving with an oxygen tank to support breathing. I really want to dive in Nha Trang and Phu Quoc, both of these places are really famous for marine tourism in Vn. In Nha Trang, I really want to see the vibrant coral reef and in Phu Quoc, I want to explore the underwater cave. You know, the darkness of an underwater cave is kinda scary but it offers me a sense of excitement. I think the difficulty of this sport depends on the location and the level of experience of the diver. While some dive sites are suitable for beginners, others require more advanced skills. The reason why I really love this sport is the opportunities to witness the beauty and diversity of aquatic life and also the chance to explore underwater caves. This is also a sport that I can do with other people to explore things together so I think this could help my social circle to be bigger as I will join the diving club or dive with some friends of mine who share the same interest. That’s all. 45. Describe a movie you watched recently that you felt disappointed about Well, when it comes to a movie that disappoints me, it would be the live action The Little Mermaid which was released this year. I bet that you have heard at least some controversy about the appearance, the skin color and the hair of the main female character. However, my feelings have nothing to do with that. I mean we cannot judge a book just by its cover. I don’t care whether Ariel has skin color or blonde hair, I just want to see the Ariel I have always loved since my childhood. That is the reason why I feel depressed. In my memory, Ariel is the pure and innocent princess but the Ariel in live action is a contrast to it. Instead of being gentle and sweet, this Ariel is much more independent . I do understand that Disney wants to convey to children that they can be strong and independent. That is a good point. 46. Describe an occasion when you got lost Well, let me tell you about the time when I got lost. Last month, I was invited to my friend's birthday party in a small restaurant located in the outskirts of the city. I am not good at navigation so I decided to use Google maps - a very common online mapping app and it calculated that this trip would take me about 30 minutes. At first everything was fine. However, after driving for 30 minutes, I noticed that I hadn't been there but I still kept driving. After an hour, I came to the restaurant, which was shown in the app, but it was actually a vacant land without anything. Maybe it is a new restaurant so the GM made some mistakes. I immediately realized I was lost and of course I was very confused and scared. Unfortunately, my phone ran out of battery so I cannot use Gm again. After a while, I calmed myself down and tried to get out but it was just in vain as I kept going back to the same place. I felt very exhausted and started to cry. Out of the blue, a local woman saw me crying by the road when she came back home and decided to help me. With her enthusiastic help, I finally arrived at the restaurant. It was a scary but memorable experience that I may never forget. After such an unexpected accident, I learned that I must have better preparation for my trips in the future. 47. Describe an occasion when you received incorrect information Well, let me tell you about the time when I received incorrect information from the google map. Last month, I was invited to my friend's birthday party in a small restaurant located in the outskirts of the city. I am not good at navigation so I decided to use Google maps - a very common online mapping app and it calculated that this trip would take me about 30 minutes. At first everything was fine. After an hour, I came to the restaurant, which was shown in the app, but it was actually a vacant land without anything. Maybe it is a new restaurant so the GM made some mistakes. I immediately realized It had given me the wrong direction and of course I was very confused and scared. Unfortunately, my phone ran out of battery so I cannot use Gm again. After a while, I calmed myself down and tried to get out but it was just in vain as I kept going back to the same place. I felt very exhausted and started to cry. It was a scary but memorable experience that I may never forget. After such an unexpected accident, I learned that I must have better preparation for my trips in the future. 48. Describe an exciting adventure you would like to take in future Well, I really want to take an adventure in Son Doong cave which is the largest cave in the world. I have never been there before but I had been searching for its information for my school project and also saw it in a music video of Alan Walker. I really want to go there with my family as we all are adventure seekers so it would be great to share the same interest and spend time together in the cave. We can also be able to take a refreshing swim in the underground pool and waterfall formed by the cave river. Nothing is greater than taking a swim in this hot weather. That's all I want to talk about. 49. Describe an important decision you made Well I would like to tell you about the time when I was waiting for the result of the high school entrance examinations. I had to admit that it was such a nerve-racking time for me then because I was accepted by both a top-notch public high school and a school for the gifted and this actually put me in a dilemma. I was so confused to choose which school because each school has its own merits. My parents prefer specialized education as I only had to concentrate on 1 subject, so I could perform well in the excellent students exam, and have more chances to get a scholarship for higher education. However, as I want myself to develop in a more comprehensive way and not to be up to the ears with a hectic schedule, I want to learn at the public school. I was so confused, not knowing what to choose. But by the end of the day, it was still my choice and I decided to persist with my first thought. At the moment, my parents and I all agree that it was one of the wisest decisions I have ever made. At public school, I have had quite brilliant performance and been in the top 3 in the school's excellent students examination. Not only that, I also have a large social circle as I get on very well with my teachers and friends and I have taken part in my volunteer activities within my school. 50. Describe a job you think interests people Well I think being a journalist is interesting. Since I was young, literature has always been my favorite subject and this contributes to my love for being a journalist. I believe that I can use my words to influence other people. A journalist has a responsible to inform bad and good news in order not to raise awareness of the community but also spread Additionally, I have to admit that being a journalist can also benefit me a lot. Firstly, I will have more chances to explore new cultures and meet amazing people. This is because journalist have to travel many destinations to report events there Moreover, journalists always have free entry to events. Take my sister as a telling example, she worked for one of the biggest publishers in VN so she had a ticket to sit in a nice place at the BP concert. Even though many people have money, they cannot have that seat. I would love to have that privilege in the future.
