ACTIVITY DESIGN
I. TITLE OF TRAINING CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION FOR
GRADE 10 AND SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL FOR THE
SCHOOL YEAR 2023-2024
II. RATIONALE The Department of Education (DepEd) issues the
Career Guidance Program (CGP) for School Year 2022-
2023 which aims to establish guidelines and procedures
for its implementation. The CGP aims to guide secondary
level students in choosing career tracks that they intend to
pursue through informed career choices towards becoming
productive and contributing individuals as stated in RA
10533 otherwise known as the Basic Education Act of
2013. This document shall guide all stakeholders in
planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the
CGP for S.Y. 2021- 2022. Memorandum No. 00-0520-
0030 s. 2020 from the Office of the Undersecretary for
Administration (OUA), issued in May 2020, and the Joint
Memorandum issued on September 21, 2020 by the OUA,
the Office of the Undersecretary for Curriculum and
Instruction (OUCI), and the Office of the Undersecretary
for Field Operations (OUFO) on the Announcement of the
Transfer of Management and Supervision of the Career
Guidance Program to Curriculum and Instruction Strand,
hence, the issuance of the Career Guidance Program
(CGP) for S.Y. 2023-2024. This shall be implemented in
all public elementary and secondary schools nationwide
for S.Y. 2023-2024. Immediate dissemination of and strict
compliance with this Memorandum is directed.

In view thereof, Buenavista National High School


shall conduct a CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAM
IMPLEMENTATION FOR GRADE 10 AND SENIOR HIGH
SCHOOL FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 2023-2024 among the
Grade 10, Grade 11 and grade 12 learners through a face-
to-face modality on February 28 & 29, and March 1, 2024.

III. OBJECTIVE This 3-day activity will be able to:


1. to provide guidance and assistance for the students
to achieve their career goals.
2. to create awareness among students regarding
available career options and help them in identifying
their career objectives.
3. to provide students career guidance and impart
training in communication skills, to improve their
employment opportunities and arranges on campus
and off-campus placement drives.
4. to provide platform in assisting the college for
enhancing the potential of the courses and
improving job opportunities and also create
awareness of the jobs for which the students are
eligible.
5. to identify suitable potential employers and assist
them achieving their hiring goals.
