I. TITLE OF ACTIVITY

TENN (Teachers Empowerment in the New Normal) Project

II. RATIONALE

This school recognizes teacher, school and principal empowerment and

always considered the internal and external support as a fundamental to achieving

its goals and aspirations.

True to Dinesh Paliwal,” Collaboration is a key part of the success of any

organization, executed through a clearly defined vision and mission and based on

transparency and constant communication,” the school firmly believe that TENN

(Teachers Empowerment in the New Normal) Project will effectively become a

stepping stone for school improvement.

Covid-19 Pandemic encourage us to work hand in hand in order to cater the

educational needs of the learners and committed to provide quality education.

TENN Project is a key to sustain the internal stakeholder’s performance as

motivation through provision of rewards and recognition to teachers, parents and

learners.

III. OBJECTIVES

In general, the goal is to motivate, distinguish, and reward Busay Elementary

School employees for their exceptional work performance which contribute to

achieving DepEd’s vision and mission.

In specific,

a. To motivate all employees to be actively engaged in sharing their

innovative ideas and exemplary efforts for the improvement of service

delivery;

b. To establish a mechanism for identifying, selecting, rewarding, and

providing incentives to deserving employees; and

c. To recognize and reward accomplishments and innovations periodically or

as the need arises.

IV. SCOPE

This policy shall apply to Busay Elementary School Teaching and

Non-teaching personnel and both internal and external stakeholders.

V. TYPES OF AWARDS

A. National Awards

Busay Elementary School shall participate in the search for deserving

employees who may be included in the screening of candidates for awards given

by other government agencies, private entities, NGOs and other award giving

bodies such as the:

1. Presidential or Lingkod Bayan Award – conferred on an individual for

consistent, dedicated performance exemplifying the best in any profession or

occupation resulting in the successful implementation of an idea or

performance, which is of significant effect to the public or principally affects

national interest, security and patrimony.

2. Outstanding Public Official/ Employee or Dangal ng Bayan Award –

granted to any public official or employee in government who has demonstrated

exemplary service and conduct on the basis of his or her observance of one or

more of the eight (8) norms of behavior described under Republic Act No. 6713

or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Government Officials and

Employees.

3. Civil Service Commission or the PAGASA Award – conferred on an

individual or group of individuals or team who has demonstrated outstanding

teamwork and cooperation, which resulted in the successful achievement of its

goal or has greatly improved public service delivery, economy in operation,

improved working conditions or otherwise benefited government in many other

ways.

B. Awards for Busay Elementary School Employees

1. Most Outstanding Teacher

This award is conferred to a Teacher (I, II, III), Master Teacher, Multigrade

Teacher, Special Education Teacher, Kindergarten Teacher or Alternative

Learning System Teacher who has consistently displayed exemplary

instructional and professional competence in performing his or her tasks as

stipulated in the Job Description. Accomplishing tasks even beyond what is

stated in the Job Description warrant distinguished merit.

2. Special Awards

a. Client Satisfaction Award

Given outright to employees commended by clients for their courtesy,

promptness, efficiency and dedication to duty.

b. Service Commitment Award

Employees who have been consistently diligent in attendance to required

activities and whose attendance has positively contributed to the efficiency of

the Organization shall be given merit.

c. Loyalty Award

Granted to an employee who has served continuously and satisfactorily the

agency for at least ten (10) years.

d. Employee of the Month with Exemplary Ethical Behavior

Shall be awarded to an employee who displays any or all of eight norms of

ethical behavior provided under Republic Act No. 6713.

WONDERKID AWARD

This award is given to the learner who demonstrates remarkable performance in

the distance learning, who establishes positive attitude evident to learning

outcomes.

This award is given to both female and male teachers who manifested incredible

performance in delivering learnings in the distance learning modality. Those who

demonstrates efficiency and effectivity with constantly displays optimism. Those

STAR PARENT

This award is given to the parents who remain supportive in school programs and

activities. Stakeholders who have contributed to the success of BE-LCP

Implementation, who’s commitment is evident in performing task as home

facilitator in the distance learning modalities.

The following awards conferred to personnel who shall separate from the

A. Transfer

Employees who transfer to other DepEd Offices due to promotion shall be

given awards of recognition to symbolize gratitude for the meritorious service they

have extended to the previous Office they have worked in.

B. Resignation

Employees who have opted to resign from the Department shall be given

awards of recognition as symbols of gratitude for the meritorious service they have

extended.

C. Retirement

Employees who have reached service maturity due to age or years of service

shall be given an award of recognition in gratitude for the meritorious and

dedicated service committed to the Department of Education.

VII. INCENTIVES

In fulfillment of DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2002, Busay Elementary School shall

continuously search, screen, and reward deserving employees to motivate them to

improve the quality of their performance and instill excellence in public service as

such the following incentives shall be regularly awarded subject to usual

accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

The said school initiated awardees shall received a certificate of

recognition/commendation and plaque as well monetary award.
