Guerres mondiales et conflits contemporains aims to provide an objective presentation of all that
concerns the two World Wars. Since 1987, the journal’s scope also covers major contemporary
conflicts, analysing origins of the conflicts, policies and strategies, battles, but also political, cultural
and daily life of people in combat zone.

Founded in 1921, consolidated in the '30s by merging with three editors of philosophy (Alcan), history
(Leroux) and literature (Rieder), Presses Universitaires de France today organize their publications
