speed over the 12.0 km drive will be _________________.

2. Arthur and Betty start walking toward each other when they are 100 m apart. Arthur has a
speed of 3.0 m/s and Betty has a speed of 2.0 m/s. How long does it take for them to
meet?

3. Art Gallery Bakery= 2.5km

Bakery Café= 4.0kn

If you start from the Bakery, travel to the Art Gallery, and then to the Cafe, in 1.0 hour,
what is your average speed?

4. You arrive in my class 45 seconds after leaving math which is 90 meters away. How fast
did you travel?

5. It takes Serina 0.25 hours to drive to school. Her route is 16 km long. What is Serina’s
average speed on her drive to school?

6. In a competition, an athlete threw a flying disk 139 meters through the air. While in
flight, the disk traveled at an average speed of 13.0 m/s. How long did the disk remain in
the air?

7. While traveling along a highway a driver slows from 24 m/s E to 15 m/s N in 12 seconds.
What is the automobile’s acceleration?

8. A cart rolling down an incline for 5.0 seconds has an acceleration of 4.0 m/s2. If the cart
has a beginning velocity of 2.0 m/s, what is its final velocity?
9. A cyclist accelerates at a rate of 7.0 m/s2. How long will it take the cyclist to reach a
speed of 18 m/s?
